Hello! This afternoon I have gone to the "Calatrava brigde" to take some photos and to try to solve the questions about the photo. After comparing the photos I can say, that in the first photo I put, the bridge really fits in the puzzle. The photo was taken from another bridge, and therefore it seems that it´s taller. Look at the photos:

About the pillars, all of them are from the same width. It could be, that because of an optical effect it seems that they have two different widths, but it isn´t.
Look here I have made a photomontage (not very well, jeje) to see all the brigde just from the old bed of the river

In the old bed of the Turia there aren´t buildings (apart from the Music Palace and the City of the Arts and the Sciences), but if you look, depending where you take the photo, you will see buildings in the front or back ,because the old bed is not a right line, it makes like a semicircle as you can see in your photo, and therefore you see buildings behind the bridge. I have taken photos from the brigde too, to make it clear. So you can see that the buildings are just outside the old bed.
With this photo I put more photos I have taken today.I hope you like it!

WOW, thank you adpoca, I feel relieved now :D

It's crystal clear that now you want to hear "Valencia". That's it :jump:

But I do not have much time these days to post a new one and follow it.
So please, be my guest and go ahead for another round

how does a real "Luchtzakker" thinks?
a lot of brickwork, north german style, polish, old Ganze Style storages along a river. Grey appartment blocks soviet style at the outskirts of a medieval city centre. 2 different churches, probably protestant and catholic or the smaller chapel of an older monastery or seminary.
But that boat, what on earth is that an ugly beast. Look, besides of Switserland, you can find such strange things only in eastern european countries.
Gimme some time, I am off to the world of the city pictures. Wish me luck, dear fellas.

got it already, exactly the same picture:
http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Eu ... -BR-1.html

so it is Kaunas in Lithuania.
Kaunas is the second city of Lithuania and just 24 km from the capital Vilnius.

Reading the website a bit, I was remembered that Lithuania is already a full EC member since 2004.
Okay, we will remember.

yeah yeah yeah, the absolute first thing I searched for was Trieste. But it didn't resemble, so I didn't want to make a guess.
