Spotting at Dusseldorf airport

How about spotting at Dusseldorf?
Is it worth a 2 hours car drive ?

I think it's realy worth, maybe not the traffic like FRA, AMS or CDG but great spots, i'll maybe go next week

there's is a great terras at the railwaystation in DUS. last time we had to pay but i don't remember how much.
i have been there few time's and always nice planes.

Where do you park your car when you go spotting at the terraces

I usually park near the Airport railway station. It's a very short walk to the terrace there.
Follow the signs to cargo and railway station - I think it's about 2 kms away from the airport itself.
While going to the terrace, you'll also pass the place where you take the skytrain to the airport.
Very easy, don"t worry.
The ticket that you pay for at the railway station is also valid for the terrace on the airport.

To reach the parking lot at the railway station follow the signs: "Lichtenbroich" and then "Fernbahnhof". Admission to the viewing pier is
2,50 and this ticket is also good for using the skytrain. The railway terrass is of limited use when 07 is in use. have a nice trip and enjoy!

We went to Dusseldorf International on August 10th.
Our kids loved the Skytrain and the view from both terraces was fantastic.
We saw some nice planes.

If you are interested i can post some pics if somebody explanes me how to do.
