This is the worst news to hear. Hardly any 747s can been seen at DUB. Because Aer Lingus made the wrong decision getting rid of their Boeing 747-100s and changing to Airbus 330-200 & 330-300s about 10 years ago.
There's only one scheduled 747 flight to DUB every Tuesday or Wednesday and only staying for a day! It is a SQ (Singapore Airlines) Boeing 747-400F. The bad news is that it doesn't carry any passengers because its a Cargo Plane . There is some unscheduled Boeing 747s at DUB but rare. Once I saw a B 742F landing at DUB and anout 2 months after that I saw a Alitalia 747 200 or 300 taking off. There should be a Aer Lingus route from DUB to HKG weekly or monthly. Its only about 14 hours flight to HKG! Save loads of time changing in LHR and CDG. I think Aer Lingus should buy 2 Boeing 744s. To increase 747s @ DUB
DUB is lacking Boeing 747s

I think it has been worse: now we get almost daily a SIA Cargo flight, a Cathay pacific/Air Hong Kong, a Saudi Arabian one and the Korean one (Asiana). There are also rather regular services with RAM 747's , Egyptair uses them from time to time, and we've got the Hydro Air one, which is a catch for non EBBR people (as far as I know it can only be seen at Johannesburg , Ostend and Brussels). Thursday before let's say 1200h, you can see 4 of them. And when the SARS crisis is over we will probably get the SIA aircraft back, which are also sometimes two flights a day. Give me a 777 please. Just 1 every week (SIA?).

Hi all,sn26567 wrote:MS759 (Boeing 777-200) arrives from Cairo on Fridays at 14:50.
25R or L? Depends on the humour of ATC
here is a small rule for landings on runways 25L or 25R:
25L passenger-aircrafts are supposed to land on 25L
25R cargo and private landings on 25R unless the ATC-controller sees it different. Most of the time the ATC-controller agrees to a 25R if the parking-position is at Terminal A even-positions (southerly positions)
If the Egyptair Boeing 777 will show up at BRU it will land at runway 25L 99,99% chance.
If an RJ85 will park at the A-pier south-position the controller suggests 25R or the pilots suggest 25R. If this aircraft should land on 25L a lot of apron-movements and a lot of fuel will be used to arrive at the parkingposition.

The Kalittaflights don't have a certain our at which they come in, because they are military flights for the USAF. You CAN find their schedules on :

some time ago I saw a 747 at EBOS registred as n714ck. Is this one of the few 747-100 which had a military cargo convertion, or is it a 747-200? In different lists I found different types, both the 100 and the 200. I assume it was operating for kalitta for the US to Kuweit. Are there any external differences between a 100 and a 200?
Brussels and Ostend are not the only place where 747 come. In Liege there is a regular CAL Cargo Airlines flight to Tel-Aviv (and New-York I think). You can see there also Belgians only 747-400 OO-TJA of TNT Airways. For more information about the arrivals and departures look at there side.
