I totally agree with the comment about the inefficiency of check in/security at BRU. As a Frequent Flyer. I was recently at LAX and using *alliance gold card, I could use the fast lane for security. It took 10 minutes including removing my shoes. In Brussels, there is now a fast line but even Plati...

Strange to see how all big monopolists and/or former state companies are behaving these days: Electrabel, NMBS, Brussels Airlines, De Post .even InBev.....all chasing away their customers and paving the way for the competition. The arrogance, the lack of communication, the stinking self-satisfaction...

It is true Tp is now focussing mainly on Brzil, which is a good bet for the future.. Sn on Africa... I agree also But one think I can not accept ,is that airlines like(to name just a few)Finnair and Austrian (both smaller countries than belgium),can have on their network (from helsinki and vienna ,c...

If I follow you well tolipanebas, sn should also abandon their european network since the yield there is too low ! (and will keep going lower the trends in Europe being on low fares). So they would be happy to serve 3 or 4 daily routes to Africa and nothing else ... until the fares there get lower ...

Why do you put your head in the sand like ostriches ?? Oh shut up  Why is it we only see the username 'JOVAN' whenever there can be bitching about Belgian aviation? Where were you when all the new flights were announced? In most cases: nowhere to be seen. One exception: in the 9W thread you w...

Can we please stay on topic and discuss the problems of Brussels Airport and Brussels Airlines in the other topics. I could not say better. Why to avoid talking about weakness of BRU Airport and SN ?? The weak figures of pasenger growth ARE the topic. Why do you put your head in the sand like ostri...

Very correct CXRules. HK is still the business place to be in Asia, with the strongest financial center (the London of Asia), apart from Tokyo. Thousands of HQ's and millions of tourists. And a beautiful, efficient airport. Finnair, Austrian, Swiss etc, carriers from 'small' countries fly there daily.

Re: visas
My Chinese colleagues get their visa for Holland in 1 week maximum, for Belgium in "approximatively" 3 weeks. Which airline do you think they fly? And to which airport ? They will go to the Dutch consulate to get a Dutch visa that is valid for the three Benelux countries and they will fly...

When they were building the new terminal and the B pier I once saw an artist's impression of the master plan. There you could see the new terminal, the A pier and the B pier as they have been executed (actually the design of the A pier was changed). The old terminal building was supposed to stay an...
