Re: LH Group posts better than expected financial results
So most probably no turboprops for Bru. Air. then? Indeed, LH has explicitly voted against converting the wet lease operations of the Q400's flying for SN into dry leases. The aircraft is more economical without a doubt, but not suited for the business model nor the operations that SN needs to focu...

Re: Kingfisher Airlines on the brink of bankruptcy?
Saw 3 A330's of Kingfisher parked in Zürich today. Why are they in ZRH and who will be getting them? Any ideas?

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination
CVG is being looked at. CVG? A Skyteam hub? Indeed... Would have something to do with Proctor & Gamble who has its main office in Cincinnati (and a huge centre in Brussels). But, CVG is NOT confirmed. I think that some serious calculations need to be made before embarking on a challenge like th...

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination
First thing I hear about EWR... It doesn't seem like a wise choice to fly to both NYC airports, especially when UA flies from EWR.
As I said before, BOS is internally confirmed for next year and CVG is being looked at. Don't ask my why though...

I happened to fly on it a couple of days ago and I promissed to do a Q400 trip report in prep of your AvGeek trip: will try to write it tomorrow, as it was actually quite an interesting flight... I flew with the Q400's this week, outbound with the Austrian, inbound with the Flybe. I was very curiou...

Nice TR.
If you have the time, I would suggest informing SN about your flights, especially the purser who wasn't doing his job correctly, via facebook or twitter. Corrective actions need to be taken, a perhaps with a bit of training/coaching this could be solved.

Not anymore...Sabena320 wrote:Redcaps on SN flights are Swissport people as well.
Long haul flights are already covered by load control officers of SN and as from 15/10 if I'm not mistaken all EU flights are covered by load control agents of SN.

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet
One aspect I haven't seen discussed here is the impact of the replacement on the number of F/A, per a/c and globally. I'm sure the professionals on this site have the answer to that. What is your question exactly? At the moment the situation is: RJ: 2 F/A A319/B733: 3 F/A 320/B734 4 F/A A332/A333: ...

FYI, first flight to JFK will be flown by OO-SFM for the moment. You can be pretty sure it will stay OO-SFM ;) BTW: SFM is the only one with the touchscreen's in C-class (SFW will get the same screens but for now pax have to use the remote in C) OO-SFV and others will have the correct screens aswel.

Thanks for everybodies comments... the good news is I'm not anlone... the bad news is... 6 long haul flights a day out of BRU stink... Cheers, Stij I flew with 9W in December 2008 when they still were proud to fly to Europe, the US and Canada. However now they have become used to it and don't bothe...
