OK, since nobody wanted to tell me how Hainan is between Brussels and Beijing, I booked a ticket and flew myself last night! Here we go! I arrived 1:30 before departure at the airport (pretty punctual for my standards) and went straight to check-in. There was just one person in front of me, so that ...

1) Why did BIAC promote the Shanghai route if they knew it wasn't going to last ? 2) I thought the Belgian business world asked for a Shanghai route and not a Beijing route. Shanghai is the business capital of China (together with Hong Kong, but that's a case apart). If I'm not mistaken Barco was o...

Stij, Although your idea has been thought of and shows some real logic, I don't think you're actually suggesting a solution for a problem there...You're merely confronting people with a dilemma, a decision that is not their responsibility to take. And you're attaching some great consequences to it:...

As exeptect, this turns again north against south. This country is pathetic. I agree. Unfortunatly it's nice as a politician to have always someone to blame all problems on. In most European countries they blame everything on the EU, in Belgium they blame everything on the other part of the country...

Here's my suggestion (It's possible I mentioned this before): 1. Make a list of ALL the houses and appartments that suffer from BRU. 2. Estimate the value of these houses and appartments. 3. Offer the owners of these houses and appartments the choice of selling there house or appartment at the estim...

Or book nothing in advance and smile at the check-in agent. It got me and my friends the complete row 1 last weekend from Malaga to Brussels.

Have a nice flight!

Dear Stoney,

I flew two weeks ago with both Air China (operated by Dragonair) and Hainan btween Beijing and Shanghai. I preferred Hainan! From the Air China food I ate only one bite, the Hainan stuff was very tasty. Air China was delayed and Hainan was punctual.

SN30952 wrote But you wrote you was surprised? You did not pay C-class? and got a 4th row seat boarding pass. I guess you had big expectations, until you was seated? No I didn't pay C class (I never do), but when you get a row 4 boarding pass and you see a B767-300, you begin to hope. ;-) What surp...

Dear all, I flew Hainan two weeks ago between Shanghai and Beijing in a 767-300. To my suprise there was no business class (big disappointment as I had row 4). But the biggest suprise was to find a Malev inflight magazine. This means that the it flew intercontinental without Business Class. Now I'm ...

Condor is doing bad on the route MUC-BRU. Condor don't know the reason for that, they know there is competition on that route with SNBA, LH and TV but they offer a good product. Condor is considering not to fly to BRU during winter. There is maybe a change that BRU will be dropped even like other c...

When I was studying in Italy (already 8 years ago, d*mn, I'm getting old) I travelled always with Sabena, sometimes even with 35 or 40kg. I always said that I was a student and then no questions were asked anymore. Not even that time that I stood there in Linate with two big bags, a pair of ski's an...

In Vancouver, BC, Canada, there's actually a seaplane airport in the centre of town with "real" scheduled flights to all of the islands along the coast line. It's great for the spotters amongst you!

Well Leftwing, since they're both nightflights and the rest of the service is absolutely impeccable, I would continue to fly LH to China. BTW, for a few 100 Euros you can buy a private DVD player, then you watch the movie you want when you want. A lot of people did that on LH. However, in a few week...

P.S. Price is however a major issue: if CO or AA are waaaaaaaaaaay cheaper, fly them.
