Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Sounds ridiculous, unless the EW livery are just decals. Otherwise it might be a first step into rebranding SN into EW, they can say in 10 months: hey, our plane was just painted, let not waste any money by repainting it, just slap a decal "operated by Brussels Airlines" on it and we're go...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

What about the livery? Will the EW one get an EW livery or will it get an SN livery? Or will it stay in the CX livery with temp decals until it returns to SN and gets a full paintjob?

Owner CTC Moyson Airport Equipment passes away after battling cancer

Not sure if this is the appropriate part but since it's kinda airport related and this man was known at Brussels Airport I would like to post this here. Tonight I received sad news about Marc Moyson, the owner of CTC Moyson & CTC Moyson Airport Equipment, Marc Moyson passed away after battling c...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Air Belgium will initially focus on Asia, followed by the acquisition of A330-900neo or A350 pending current talks with Airbus. Phase three ending 2028 consists of routes to North and South America. They must have very very very very deep pockets... No AOC yet, not a single commercial flight, not a...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Most probably it has it's original registration still underneath .. and maybe it'll be placed somewhere else once they apply the stickers That's what I thought also, but why not just remove the previous registration at all? Anyway, we shall see eventually what will happen :D Someday, sometime... Ju...

BTW: Does anyone finds it odd that the registrations seem to be temporary? They seem to be placed over another registration?

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?

If I am nog mistaking, a real flag is also mirrored on one of both sides! 🤔 You are correct: Captain's side (left): correct order Co-pilot's side (right): backward order This because a flag on a "vessel" (ship, plane) is seen floating in the wind with the nose/bow being the flag mast. The...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2018

but my guess is the Antwerp will keep the VLM name It might be the other way around, the fact that they changed their name to VLM Regional could suggest that an agreement between the 2 companies was made and that ex-TCAB got the VLM brand out of the deal. The Antwerp operation is actually still SHS...

They already changed their names:

SHS Antwerp Aviation = VLM Regional
Ex-TCAB = VLM Airlines

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?

Seems that the Belgian flag besides the registration is backwards contrary to virtually any other airline in the industry. You have to give it to them, they are persistent in having the wrong flag on their planes

(OK, i'll stop mentioning it now, guess it's my tiny OCD issue)

Re: BRU infrastructure: future

Wouldn't it have been better to renew the bridges in the B terminal first before installing the A380 bridge. Or renovating the bridges in the A? How old are these bridges ? Floor is damaged , warming is not working. Last week I arrived in the A and the aircro was working , it was ice cold in the br...

According to VRT De Redactie the reason why they didn't get the AOC was because Air Belgium hadn't a plane registered to them?

2)Will VLM Brussels not have to look for another name anyway? As it will be a different legal entity than the 'real' VLM in Antwerp/maribor.
