Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023

^^ But there is no problem! According to the experts on this forum, SN does not need new (modern) aircraft. What a relief

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023

Flying (long haul) on SN has become like playing the lottery. As long as LH refuses to invest in a decent (in size), modern long haul fleet for SN, these things will continue to happen and customers will run away. (in the meantime: 787's for OS, A350's for LX) (as for SN: "here's 1 extra 15-yea...

^^ That black 'mask' around the cockpit windows looks so much better! Why don't they apply this to all aircraft?

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Today was the official announcement of P30. This will be a parking for only employees and the place for car rental. Total number of places 2.700 and 8 levels high. The start of signalisation and preparation starts as from today on the side itself. I will try to get the picture here A picture/render...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

I'm a bit confused. I thought this area would be used for the extension of the terminal/new hotel?

Why isn't BAC communicating about the plans?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023

For several weeks there have been rumors that Lufthansa has major expansion plans with Brussels Airlines for the coming years. According to rumors, there would eventually be a fleet of 15 A330s and up to 45 A320s. And again: I know, it's just rumours, so nothing is decided yet. Who knows more? Is t...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023

A Brussels Airlines A320 lost a tire this afternoon on its way to the runway of Vilnius airport, Lithuania. Another aircraft was sent to Vilnius to fly the pax to Brussels this evening. There were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussel...

Re: Belgian Air Force news

Not really Belgian air force related, but I don't know where else to put this news: The government is looking for a new plane for the Belgian 'coast guard' https://www.focus-wtv.be/nieuws/regering-maakt-werk-van-nieuw-vliegtuig-voor-kusttoezicht This is the current plane: a 46(!) year old Britten-No...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

When is "soon" ? Obviously, after LH and LX have been "served". Airlines which have decided or are considering a participation/acquisition by LH should have a thorough look at how LH is treating SN (and OS perhaps too). Very true. From day 1 LH has treated SN like an unwanted ch...

You don't have to insult or ridicule people just because they have a different opinion. I thought forums like these existed to debate topics between (civilized) people from all sorts of different backgrounds.

Guess I was wrong. Have a good night.

^^ If that was true, all planes would be white. Clearly 'brands' and brand identity matters. Every marketeer will explain you why. Meanwhile in Billund... Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023

I completely understand and agree with longwing's point about the inconsistency of SN when it comes to their (long haul) aircraft. It's a "potpourri" of different liveries, interiors,... I understand that a new livery or interior can't be applied immediately and that it can wait until a sc...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

It would be great if they could remove that low ceiling. Or even a part of it, and make the roof gradually lower like this for example: https://npr.brightspotcdn.com/legacy/sites/wfae/files/201910/new_clt_lobby.jpg Curved lines are always more pleasing to the eye ;) Possibilities are endless, exciti...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

What exactly do you want them to change inside? The options in the 90's-terminal are very limited. On the contrary. The possibilities are endless. Within the existing structures, you can change literally everything (floors, ceilings, position/design of checkin counters, shops,...) The terminal coul...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

So yes. The airport represents this kind of cacaphony that is Belgium. A mix of new and old, not sticking to 1 style (I think it's ugly as **** but that's another story ) Point taken  And where the hell you will go with all the passengers if you want to start from 0 again?? Easy to say from an...
