Re: Ryanair: the Brussels launch event

Sorry Crosswind but in my personal experience the social life whipe working for ryanair is not bad at all. I know when i can do something with friends or familie a long time in advance. I can even say which exact dates i will be working for the next couple of years as long as nothing chages. (like n...

Re: Ryanair in 2014

To have some more capacity this summer before the new deliveries start (some this year and 50 in 2015)
there will be 2 wetleases in DUB, from a company up north, and 3 or 4 dry leases in STN from flydubai.

Re: Live: ET B763ER holding over GVA, hijack

There is a fail safe system on the door, the numpad for which the entire crew knows the code. In our company one of the cabin crew comes inside the flightdeck when one of the pilots needs to go to the toilet (unless we have someone on the jumpseat) So an incident like the Transavia a few months ago ...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Isn't it possible that FR will remain a ulcc for the biggest part (or a hybrid after all the costumer servicr improvements) and at the same time go after the business pax at the bigger airports with ofcourse higher fares? I can see the 2 faces of ryanair coexcist at the same time. And maybr in the f...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

I'm wondering the same. There were rumors to increase CRL to over 20 aircraft (16 past summer) and Dub to 28 (20 past summer) If that's the case there will definitely be bases that will be closed or reduced heavily. LIL isn't a base btw. If there will be more routes to BRU it will be from other capi...

Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Ryanair to start daily flights to BRU (not CRL) Ryanair just released on their website that they will start daily flights from FCO to BRU together with BCN and domestic flights. No dates are given for the start of the BRU flights. They will also base 6 aircraft in FCO to open up space in CIA for mo...

Re: Ethiopian Boeing 787 on fire at gate in London Heathrow

How do you know how much force the NG can bear? A nose first landing is not the same as removing part of the tail when you look at the loads on the nose wheel. Also it's not visible on the picture that there are no other supports for the aircraft except the nose gear. In the comment of sn26567 from ...

Re: Ryanair in 2013

There will indeed be a pause in the expansion of Ryanair. http://irishaviationresearchinstitute.blogspot.ie/2013/10/ryanair-returns-ei-dls-boeing-737-8as.html It will depend on the yeas wide fleet utilization but i can't see how they will be able to to the same flights they did this summer with 10 a...

ok didn't look at it that way.

But anyway with: "Last year more than 90% of Ryanair flights landing on time, beating ......." it shouldn't be a problem

Re: Ryanair in 2013

The extra cost is it for the codesharing or for both?
i don't really see why transfers would come at a big extra cost they only have to adjust the luggage tags.
i think for transfers the biggest cost will be for the airports. Most of them don't seem to be able to handle transfers

Re: "Landing at Brussels Airport will become more dangerous"

I don't really why there is all the comotion.
For the 737-800 its a difference of not even 100m with medium braking action and autobrake 1.
So if those pilots think it's unsafe to land with those 100m extra shouldn't be landing with 5 knots tw either.
