Re: BRU 18/10/2018
Landings are now on 01. Are those 747 from the Japanese Air Force and the IL96 going to land there or will it be 07L?

Re: BRU 02/10/2018
The B737 is from Korongo Airlines if i'm not mistaken and I think that the 146 is an old SN plane given to the fire fighters to use for training purposes.

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
Does anyone know where these aircraft are parked? Might go to Antwerp soon to take a picture of them before they (may) leave Belgium.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Meanwhile other airlines will get onto the Belgian market and eat away at routes SN could be operating... Primera is one... Norwegian may be another one... but there is a lot more... a few years ago there was no service to Iceland... and next summer there will be 3 flights a day on some days... and...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
Yet despite the future of SN (and in particular its long haul flights), I think that other carriers will step in when LH would pull away these routes or just forces SN to close them.

Re: BRU 21/05/2018
On Facebok, there is the group "Spotter Alert - Brussels Airport" for those who didn't know it yet. I saw passing that a 777 was coming, but there was no info on reg or even airline and it seemed to be this Omni Air International B777. The info on the EMB170 was nowhere shown. I didn't cat...

Don't they ship it to FRA where they check whether everything is OK to transport it then further to DUS?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
No need to aggravate the situation imo: this is only the second time that there is a strike in the history of Brussels Airlines. If there is one airline which is associated with striking at the moment, people should look at Air France rather than Brussels Airlines...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
I'm sure that AB may have gone a certain "catalogue rental price" for an A343, as it is indeed more useful to use the aircraft and crew to earn some money (better some money than none) in order to be asked in the future. If AB can continue to fly for TUI on certain routes at a rather low p...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Well, the reason of Davignon that there is not enough money seems logic, but as Mutti Lufti owns SN for 100%, Mutti Lufti can stop a possible strike by giving SN the money to fund the higher wages of the pilots

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
At the 19hrs news of VTM, they said that the gross wages of SN pilots are equal to those of KLM and British Airways but that more taxes are levied on their wage. I think that they compared with the wrong airlines, they should compare with the wages of LH, OS and LX as SN is part of the LH-group.

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
Indeed, the EU won't be able to justify towards other countries (f.e. Estonia with Estonian Air) that they let Alitalia do their thing, maybe because of the tourism there, whlist other airlines went bankrupt because of the EU policy. That would be discrimination based on nationality, which is prohib...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Air Belgium is promoting its flights to Hong Kong. I have seen ads on this forum and some other sites as well. Seems that they realised that they need to do something to get some extra passengers. Would you book with an airline that still does not fulfill all conditions to start flying ? We know th...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?
Well, if the EU thinks those grants are state aid, it will be over for Alitalia unless the government sells the airline before that.

I just calculated that Alitalia is able to make a loss of 23,15 EUR per second. How do you even do that?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I really don't get the point of painting 2 330's of SN in EW colours as they normally come to SN at the end of the year. Why wouldn't they just paint it in SN-colours and use it for EW during summer? This would also mean that they can use the 330 longer at DUS, unless SFB and SFC aren't coming to Be...
