Outgoing SN453 to Bujumbura is cancelled (ETD 10h40).

Temporary unemployment indeed starts: as from next week.

For some 300 people, mostly from Accounts, Sales, Marketing and HR. And seems also for some pilots.

The oil pressure in nr 1 engine dropped and crew therefore shutted down the engine. Not dropped off...

Just two very recent press reports about these incidents: On 26 Sept 2009, the Scottish Sun reported that a 19-year old youth has been arrested (only a shortwhile probably) near Glasgow, after excellent police work: the cockpit crew of a 757 reported they were blinded by a beam during final approach...

Not true. I know some of the security officers who went on strike that day and for them it was mainly due to yet another incident with the then verry bully head of security at Brussels Airport. She got fired some time later... Thanks for clearing this out, as I thought that there was only one strik...

Last Tuesday (29th Sept 2009), Ryanair-flight FR8631 (737-800) from Trapani to Charleroi had a double bird strike during take off.
