Thanks for the nice report!

Could it be that the LAN is a 767-300 instead of an A330?

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

In addition, the cheap Euro forms a risk for any company that has a significant USD exposure. 1 EUR is at 1.24 USD today, and Draghi is going to QE it soon, so that the Euro is probably going to fall even deeper, causing an effect similar to the recent drop of the Russian Ruble. Given that the prob...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports

The socialist trade Union (ABVV) asks employees at Brussels Airport to go on strike on 8 and 15 december. The purpose is to bring the airport to a standstill on these two days.

According to a study published in "The Lancet", the risk of spreading the virus through travelling by air is rather limited. Also, a screening of the passengers at the place of departure is the most efficient way to detect persons who have symptoms. http://www.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20141020_...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

It's a pretty easy calculation. Operating cost per hour x hours on the route x 2 for outbound + inbound x 365 for a daily route. For LIS, twice daily service of SN equals a yearly operating cost of 15 million euro's. A bit on this route and a bit on that route over 10 routes with direct competition...
