Wonder if the recent mishap will have any effect on my trip ...

Yes, they have been operating the route, but stopped it some time ago. I think it was because of the competition of the trains. Hmm, that makes me wonder why it took them so long to recognize "surface competition" since high speed trains have not just arrived last week between Frankfurt/C...

The most "useless" ( regarding origin/destination) but at the same time the cheapest of all my funtrips was in 2006 a daytrip Stuttgart (STR) - Hannover (HAJ) and back with HLX (X3) for an incredible 3,-EUR incl. Tax per one-way... :D (6,-EUR being less than the trainticket from Stuttgart ...
