Re: VLM Airlines Regional (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
What I didn't understand, why didn't they take over the ANR - SIR route from PowdAir by flying ANR - ZRH - SIR. Are the pilot's not qualified enough to land at that airport? They would also solve the demand for the ZRH - SIR route. Next to that they would fly 4 airports within 1 - 2 hours from majo...

Re: VLM Airlines Regional (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018
That would be a Swiss dimestic service. LX Will definitly block that if they consider VLM as competition to their BRU service.

Well if u look at the aircraft flying above you, the order of the colours will be correct ;-)) Let’s cheer Air belgium! They are very courageous to launch the fights when Cathay is corn bing in a few weeks! And not to choose BRU! Wishing them all the luck in the world, and I hope their venture prove...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
And those who were abandoned at 23:00 will most probably never want to fly SN again.. and imagine what they tell their friends and family when they finally do get home. Asking your staff to work until all stranded are helped and offer them compensation (if not money extra holidays) and maybe taxi to...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
the reason why they need to que is because they have to get the option between rebooking or compensation instead it's a Belgian law somehow.. asked it on a FB group and that's what someone responded .. that's why they can't rebook pax at once in case of cancellations and rerouting With extreme weat...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Very true! And the situation at BRU was clear to get worse as of 3 pm when it started snowing and flights got delayed.. They had ample time to call in extras or to work out an alternative workforce post closing hours. I was at BRU between 15:00 and 18:00 the situation was already desperate! And who...

Re: Brussels Airlines loses three of its 7 weekly frequencies to Kinshasa
I don’t think that we or Any other country have the moral right to point fingers and interfere in other countries’ business.. and it is bad for business.. stick to the business I would say .. As the lefties all justify the migration wave with 'What do you expect when dropping bombs on ISIS', we mig...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
SN is already An LCC on the short haul sector.
They have have recently eliminated dedicated catering for C class pax.
They are given the menu card of Lite service instead and offered to choose (without paying).

Re: Miles & more moving to revenue based system
What happens after end of 2018?
There will be a huge difference in miles accrual for status M&M members flying LX or LH vis a vis SN. Not very good for SN.

Re: Snowfall hits European airports (10/11/12 December 2017)
Belgium is in Northern Europe after all. It snows here almost every year, and sometimes more than once during winter. I would understand that FCO is ill equipped for snow, but BRU???!

I don t think HAM Will follow as it is a high yielding business route, very different from Berlin which is more a leisure route.
