Re: Ryanair in 2015
... which explains that easyJet is slowly losing ground to Ryanair (see what happened at Brussels) Up to last week, there was ZERO overlap between U2 and FR at BRU... Between U2 and SN however, the overlap has been huge for years and indeed, they are slowly being shown the door here: not by FR like...

Meanwhile, a whole batch of new OO-SSx registrations has been reserved for the additional airbuses which will join the fleet: basically every letter remaining. Oh, and some more even, because it's going to be more than just a handful, remember...

Gustin is really learning the ropes: No more U.S. expansion for the moment but more Africa. That's the right focus. Once again you are taking your own fiction for facts. Over the next few weeks news will emerge that will clearly show US expansion is still high on the agenda too. Logical, as a fast ...

Re: Brussels Airlines too noisy at Stockholm Bromma Airport
Pocahontas is right: you do not modify your Vapp in function of the RWY length, flanker! It's something reserved for general aviation flyers, but don't extrapolate Cessna flying to jet flying. ;). The reason the air brake is so extensively used at BMA is because of its steeper approach profile. At a...

11.8% growth for SN + record of best ever day on top!
Brussels Airlines reported double digit growth figures over September: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines_press_release_articles/brussels-airlines/brussels-airlines-growth-trend-continues-in-september-11-8-more-passengers/ Equally noteworthy is the fact that Brussels Airlines also had its best day e...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
If you want to have an idea of the cabin layout post modification: check Aer Lingus or vueling seatmaps. They have the same 144 seat lay out on A319, respectively 180 seats on A320. The modification literally brings the capacity of an additional A319 for free. And that fleet itself is going to grow ...

Re: 12.5% growth for Brussels Airlines in August.
And then to remember this is "growth with the parking brake on", because of the runway works at our hub as well as a lack of planes to increase frequencies further. No airport works will hinder us next year and there will be quite important news on that other issue faced this summer, soon....

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Nice speculation on where A330 will come from.
Dont forget to do the same for A320: we'll be adding more than just a handful of them next spring.
If you think growth is already big this year, wait till you see about next year...

Its really the new normal to be one of Europe's fastest growing airlines, comfortably beating low costs like Norwegian, easyjet or ryanair month after month.

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2015
Indeed. BRU is without a good option to land for the moment. They report the ceiling below the minima for RWY07L as BKN004, but it is in fact OVC even; however, BRU never ever uses OVC for some odd reason. RWY25R is having fairly strong tailwinds on approach, much higher than those measured on the g...

Re: Lufthansa to start Nairobi from Oct 27
That just makes no sense you know. A Belgian customer is as well off going through FRA and then nonstop to NBO, than via KGL to NBO. On top of that, he will soon be able to fly daily. Customers not originating in Belgium win too, not just in frequency but also in flight time (less intermediate stops...

Brussels Airlines welcomed 669,850 passengers in May, no less than 15.0 percent more than in the same month last year, thus continuing on its double digit growth path. Growth is significant on transatlantic flights (4.8%) and explosive on European routes (+15.1%), but African growth rate beats every...

Re: BRU Winter 2015/2016: latest news, routes, airlines
Adding ACC as well as increasing frequencies to no less than 3 other West-African destinations (and making KGL a non-stop route on top) is a much smarter move than holding on to a low frequency tag on flight to NBO as NBO is simply too far to the East in Africa to still hope for much feeding from th...
