Perhaps a stupid question, but how do you know that? Dou you conclude so from flightradar or what?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Already now you can see the difference: flying on an RJ is getting increasingly rare these days. About their plans for 2018 and further, tolipanebas: do we have to read that as 'bigger planes' or 'more planes'? Both would lead to the same outcome (i.e. expansion), so some more clarification by an i...

Re: EgyptAir Flight MS804 CDG-CAI disappears above the Mediterranean

I heard somewhere that the plane went to technic the day before it went to Paris. It is perhaps more logic (IF it is a terror attack) that the bomb was installed there.

I've heard that SFV will be just repainted, so no classic livery. And if they would do a retro livery, you could be sure that SN themselve would have said that there is coming a special livery...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Regarding flightradar, OO-DWF is now flying direct (??!!) to Abu Dhabi but it doesn't fly in that direction at all. (and couldn't anyway, it's an avro) First of all, the OO-DWF is out of the fleet. Secondly I saw on a facebook group the avro without paint leaving and there was said he was going to ...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

I read in an article today that Luftie made a 8 million € loss in the first 3 months of this year. They said however that it wasn't a consequence of the attacks of 22/3.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

That is quite a surprise. Normally new or special painted planes arrive very late in the evening, so the spotters cannot see the plane. Now I have a reason to go once more and spot the newbie (togheter with the OO-SNE).

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

If they could do so, it would be great. Lower price (also due to lower results after 22/3) for seperate identity isn't a that bad deal. Or if they really want to make it low cost: Brussels Airlines --> Brussels Wings or something and integrate Eurowings in SN? Then they have what they want: low cost...

They are about to enter the fleet for quite a long time.

Just a small question: why does it take so long to get a leased plane ready for SN-service?

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

That is the whole sad thing about it: there will be no real Belgian airline anymore one day at Brussels Airport. Jetair is part of TUI and Thomas Cook is neither Belgian as part of a bigger concern. Normally you don't make the same mistake twice, but SN does as it will be part of Eurowings one day a...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

I agree indeed that LH isn't stupid. I think there will be Brussels in a name somewhere, because they don't want to see their project fail if they buy over SN. So best option perhaps is rename it to Brussels Wings as part of Eurowings and they have quite a good golden midway: SN integrated in EW and...

Re: Planning of petition "retro livery"

No that could also be an idea. If you say "retro livery". It could be then the S-logo on the tail and Sabena name on the plane. If this would'nt be allowed due to judicial decision, it would be nice to see the S-tail with the SN plane, so in fact what it was before SN Brussels Airlines bec...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

If Lufty believes in a future for SN they will buy on the 27th. If they don't, a Sabena bis scenario can't be excluded. (transfer intra EU slots for 1€ to Eurowings and transfer Africa to a new Belgian Company). These rumours would explain the recent visit of Mr Spohr to the Royal Palace. It was an...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

I always thought that Lufhtansa wouldn't be the best partner. They should find a partner which support them with planes (as Lufthansa does now), but let Brussels Airlines be Brussels Airlines. They should find perhaps even another alliance to join, as Lufthansa is the biggest airline (with their dou...
