I agree. I have flown on the Crossair one (DUS-GVA) five or six years ago. If I remember correctly, it is the fastest commercial turboprop, with speeds almost equivalent to a jet.

It is interesting to see that Scot Airways, in codeshare with Flybe, uses the Dornier 328-100 on the route from LCY to EDI.

That means that the Dornier is also certified for LCY.

I just checked the OAG: it announces an Avro ARJ100 on both GVA and EDI. This is much more comfortable than Cityflyer's BAe146 with 6 seats abreast!

Do you mean that TUI/SLR is getting to be a low cost airline ? SLR remains a charter airline, that sells seats to TUI. TUI (JetAir) resells these seats to its customers in two ways: either as packages (complete wit hotels, transfers, etc.) or as flights only. The law of supply and demand applies fo...

It's not the banks that killed Aero Lloyd, but bad management. The bank only tried to avert wider losses.

That Anderlecht will be the winner is only my concern if KV Mechelen climbs to first division again. :offtopic: Starting with minus 9 points, KV Mechelen is more likely to be relegated to 4th division than to climb to 2nd (not first!!!) :offtopic: Anyway, Scottish football fans have a very good rep...

Pity that the questionnaire does not allow for multiple replies. When I visit a town in foreign country, I know already in which hotel I will stay: that is often imposed. But I like to know two things: 1) where I can have a good meal, and 2) which are the curiosities that must be seen, time allowing.

How can they that easily switch from Avro to A319 ? That's good aircraft capacity management: take one A319 away from a destination where its larger capacity is not needed and have it make two rotations to Strasbourg. Meanwhile, the ARJ100 will make that other destination instead of the A319. Furth...
