Re: "Airliner six kilometres off course due iPhone interfere
no nfc for the iphone so far and i think it would be strange if it was the wifi signal, even in flight mode its possible to get wifi signals on your phone. I don't know if bluetooth is available while in flight mode. i have even flown with a captain who forgot to turn his cellphone off (he noticed a...

the 200 test flights are only for ANA
with 17 planes in service (or better to say delivered) according to wiki and planespotters.net that makes more then 10 flights per aircraft

Re: Airbus A350 news
I think what desert rat is thinking is that if the 350 does his first flight before the airshow/trade fair that there is a bigger chance to get some more orders for it. We have to remember that Le Bourget is more for the business public then for us normal people. Last time the 787 left before the pu...

Re: KRO Sunday: hard interview O'Leary versus Sven Kockelman
you can watch the interview here: http://brandpunt.kro.nl/seizoenen/2013/afleveringen/20-01-2013/fragmenten/confrontatie_met_ryanair in the end of the episode they say they will publish an official document that says you have to land with 30mins of fuel. But the part they published talks about singl...

About the expansion plans, is it really possible to extend the runway? The 07 has the displaced threshold which i'm guessing is there because of obstacles so they can't move it. On the other side there is a little place to expand the runway but a taxiway to the runway will be another story. To the n...

Re: First LOT Dreamliner AvGeek trip 5/01/2013
I taxied past the 2 dreamliners in WAW on the 26th of last month but was to late to realize it was the 787.
Then yesterday I say the one from your trip making touch-and-go's in KRK and I'm really amazed by the wingflex.
It really is a wonderful aircraft

Re: Ryanair plans wider doors to speed up boarding
why don't they buy QC versions?
just put everyone in a seat in the airport and then put the seats in the aircraft
don't think there is a faster way to embark and disembark the aircraft (and they might even start hauling cargo at night )

Re: Spectacular demo B787 at Farnborough
On the trailing edge of the aircraft, a little bit outboard of the engines is a peace of flap that is constantly moving (starts up and before rotation comes down) is that a combination between a flap and a flight spoiler? Has anyone more information about this? do other aircraft also have it? It's t...

Re: Aeroflot A320 contaminated wing take-off
So it raises some questions: are the de-icing procedures necessary and/or correct? Maybe they should be changed, according to specific parameters. ( runway length, aircraft type with specific equipment, type of ice or snow, time, outside temperatures and humidity,...) The runway length wouldn't aff...

Re: Ryanair B738, flight attendant fell from aircraft
I tought the required cabin crew are for the amount of seats,
but in case something happens they can leave with only 3 cabin crew if you have 1ccm per 50 pax
if it would have happened at a base they would have taken a ccm on standby
