Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

Meanwhile, there's a queer silence regarding the Antwerp-Genève service with its new operator. How are they doing? And can they find any custom for their Caen service? It also remains silent about all the other new companies which were going to start operations... If you listen to EGIS or other air...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

ANR and OST cannot continue the relocation of flights at the same level.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

Disagree. The regional airport Ostend and Antwerp were above their limit, as indicated by Marcel Beulens. Maybe Liège and Charleroi could continue, but wasn't there a parking problem? Not correct: both ANR and OST have excess capacity and would for sure welcome again additional traffic(in ANR they w...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2014-2015

I am always surprised by the number of people who know better. VLM Management may have made some mistakes in the past, but that does not mean they are incompetent or should be called 'amateurs'. They are accountable towards their creditors (either the banks, private funds or leasing companies), they...

Hi tangolima,
Nothing special expected at EBAW?
The pop group U2 is giving a concert in het Sportpaleis tomorrow and Wednesday night, normally they would be travelling with a bizjet.
Thanks for all the updates!

Re: 2015 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

To: SN26567 You may be sceptical, but they are still flying all the other connections, with variable success. Till now, they are the only ones together with Jetairfly and Cityjet who believe in the airport in Antwerp (given its short runway). BMI was flying the Manchester connection a year ago, and ...

Re: JAF Embraer Problems

Thanks KriVa, you are probably right, anyway there is no JAF-737 crew trained on ANR. Only other viable option is to get a 737 in from Jettime (I believe JAF uses them in BRU), I was told their crews are uses/traines for short field ops.

Re: JAF Embraer Problems

It is not only a matter of 737 performance, there have been a few 737 operating out of ANR commercially (SAS, Jettime), but the issue could also be that the crew is not trained for short runway operations. Since nr of pax to PMI id probably 100 or less, this would mean 737 load factor would be 60% o...

Re: BRU 19/05/2015

Tangolima, can you find out where and when N40D G650 was or will be flying to.
Aircraft visited ANR on Monday and left in the afternoon for Farnborough. I wonder why it did not come back to ANR today, since owner is located in Terneuzen.
Thanks.

Hi cHabu, a/c CJ2 arrived last Saturday at ANR, is ex-F-ONYY, previous owner Air Alize, home base was Noumea and a/c traveled 16.000kms (with many stops) to get to ANR; is now parked inside ASL hangar

Re: BRU 28/03/2015 - Alitalia A330

Yannick, Must be a coincidence that both planes are in BRU. 'NAD' is regularly flying from ANR, the head-office of the owner's company is also located in Antwerp. As for 'IDY', this aircraft is less frequently spotted at ANR, since it makes very long trips outside Europe for their owners. Both aircr...

Both 7X aircraft are being operated by the Flying Group in Antwerp, and are also based on ANR.
Actual owner information is kept confidential, but they do not necessary have to be Belgian... ;)

Re: ANR 31/01/2015

First Saab 340 was positioning to ANR to pick-up cargo and got engine failure on the way. Since cargo was urgently needed at destination (somewhere in Sweden), replacement aircraft was sent. So no diversion, just regular cargo flight.
