I like that idea! But can it be realised?

Re: BRU 05/01/2009

I do agree that Brussels Airport should handle these things better.

Even this evening a lot of stands were white and icey, with no visibility
of the safety zones, jetway parking zone, ...

Salt, anyone? :-)

Re: Sabena or not...

Sabena was something special. Brussels Airlines isn't, in my eyes.
Looks like a lowcost carrier with that paint scheme, in my eyes.

I would love to see Sabena return!

And a big step back for Flightcare...

But the good news is that from january they will have Swiss.
Not bad with 8 flights a day during the week.

Brussels Airport: ParkingStand 204?

Hello members!

I noticed that the BAC changed the 'road' to drive from
the B to A pier. Now you have to drive over parking 204.

Why did they do that? Now they can't use the 204 anymore!
And that one had a new jetway driving system installed... :-)

It was a nice company to work with.

A shame it has to end like this (again).

Yes it did!

Reason of tailstrike still unknown. Loadsheet was correct
and all the pallets had the correct weight.

Now parked on 906 I think.

Re: New Flightcare strike at Brussels Airport

Well, I don't need any strike at all.

I just know there will be some more to come.
I see and hear things everyday and it just doesn't
look so good.

(And those wild strikes are almost always without
the approval of the union!)

So let's close the chapter by saying: PEACE!

Re: New Flightcare strike at Brussels Airport

I think for once we agree on something here. The countries which have powerful, well run unions do not need so many strikes because the employers wont dare what they are doing over here. Here they can get away with anything, and if there is a strike, hell, everybody will just blame the workers. Why ...

Re: New Flightcare strike at Brussels Airport

Yes, of course, always the other side are the bad guys. This is exactly where the problems do start. I am for sure not living in a dreamworld (so it might be nice actually 8-) ), sorry, I am into Industrial Relations professionally for more than 12 years now, I have seen all kind of negotiations on...

Re: Aviapartner strike

Today, in our wellness coutries, people simply want to earn very much money and work as less as possible. I must remind you that the (un)loaders are NOT asking for a raise, but simply for a more humane way of working. That's it. Unfortunately they'll never be able to solve that problem... Because t...

Re: Aviapartner strike

I must remind you that the (un)loaders are NOT asking for a raise, but simply for a more humane way of working. Well, that's the best joke I've heard in years. IT IS going about a pay rise, and the pressure at work is just your alibi, as you know that the press otherwise would blame you - remember ...

Re: Aviapartner strike

This is just a shame. There are other ways to put the management under presure. They are attacing now their own work environnement. This costs the airport millions and millions a day. The claims and bills will follow. I am afraid there are NO other ways. For several MONTHS we were telling the manag...

Aviapartner strike @ Brussels Airport (and Flightcare too)

At this moment the (un-)loaders are in a strike against the high workpressure. The strike started at +- 7PM and should last for 24 hours. Due to the lack of staff they were working in teams of 3 in stead of 5. Some flights are cancelled, others will be delayed untill an agreement is reached. VRT pla...
