Hello ground effect! Is there an additional challenge/prize for leaving ground-effect height with a human-powered helicopter?

It is starting to look a bit like the Turkish crash at AMS.

Re: Warsaw Modlin Aiport

It could have something to do with the ILS not being ready for use (certified) for another two months. Then again, that should not really be relevant at this time of the year.

Sweet!

But why does a Taiwanese airline do all that Hello Kitty stuff, given that Hello Kitty is a Japanese thing?

Isn't there just a button for that?

Also, I am not 100% sure that deploying thrust reversers is such a great thing to do if one of your engines just broke down. At best, you get very asymmetric reverse thrust.

They should use Hello Kitty luggage tags and boarding passes. Or do they?

The planes are called the CS100 and the CS300, not that difficult a name.

Not so sure you would want that. Given that it is a test aircraft, the amenities on board are (probably) even more spartan than on UA 931.

Shit indeed.

Re: Direct train between The Hague - Brussels Airport in 201

Except this train has nothing to do with either NS or SNCB/NMBS! You can't do this without SNCB/NMBS as they have a monopoly on accepting pax on Belgian soil. There has been talk about this for weeks and the general conclusion is that it won't make sense unless it can take local Belgian passengers ...

Re: Direct train between The Hague - Brussels Airport in 201

In 2015 ? Efficiency at its best from NS and SNCB/NMBS. Except this train has nothing to do with either NS or SNCB/NMBS! This is an initiative of the city of The Hague, in association with Arriva. If anything, it will be Arriva who will run the train. (Arriva is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsch...

Well, the bottom of the inside of the cowling is a convenient location to put objects. Can a normal person even reach the top of the engine cowling on an A320?

The Paris Air Show in a single picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/flightblogger/9074598103/ I think that little plane in the middle of the the foreground (please don't shoot me for not knowing what it is) can easily be stuffed into the cargo hold of the A380 in the background. Without disassembly.

Well, they should install stickers in the wheel wells saying 'slow and unpleasant death guaranteed' in a number of languages. Since that is what usually happens.

Then again, just saying 'yeah no surprise there' is not a very constructive criticism.
I'm not sure I get what you mean in your last sentence.
Never mind, just talking to myself.
