Re: BRU 13/05/2011 Solar Impulse

He just passed west of Kampenhout.
This is about as close as I'll cut it with a 200mm lens on an FX body:

Over Putte now... I'm hoping for a 20 landing.

Re: BRU 11/05/2011

I think you're looking for the German C-160 that has been flying around for a couple of days? If I remember correctly, they have been doing VFR training and touch & goes.

Re: BRU 03/05/2011

Has the 340-500 been confirmed? That would surely be a reason to go to EBBR tonight ;-)

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

That would be rather difficult, since I was talking about Abelag, not Apron 60 or 56.
Also, there is a huge difference between the Korongo tail and the S-tail...

Which planes have left the B.Line fleet already? Just those three?

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

I've just had a conversation with him. He is not sure about the orange line, however... He IS sure about the S-Tail... Which planes (Avro/BAe) have been sold/ gone to other airlines in the past? I know about OO-DJG, OO-DJH, OO-DJK... Anything else? andorra-airport: Thanks for ruling out another poss...

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

I must have mistyped, 27002 was the reg. I found photos from. Basically still the same livery, with ATC in white on the tail.
OO-DJG/27007 is the only one I can't find pictures from. The last ones I can find are with the SN livery still intact...

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

I'm going over the old register now... As far as I can see, there are some planes that left the fleet without being repainted. Among which are OO-DJG, OO-DJH. I'm guessing it has to be one of those two? They both went to ATC (Avia Traffic Company). Funny thing is, I can only find photos from one of ...

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

Since we both work at the airport too, I'm pretty sure he's correct in what he saw. Could be an Avro too of course, but it was definitely in the SN Brussels Airlines colors (orange stripe, striped S-tail). But like I said before... It's probably not flying for B.Line.

Re: BRU 15/04/2011

According to a friend of mine, there was a BAe 146 in the old SN Brussels Airlines (with orange line and "striped" S-tail) colors standing at Abelag this morning. As far as he could tell (it was still pretty dark) the aircraft was not "Oscar-Oscar" registered, he couldn't read th...

BRU 12/04/2011

At the moment there is a AA 767 standing near Abelag.
Does anybody have an idea why it is there? I've never seen AA-metal standing there, so it looked kind of strange to me?

Re: Dutch F-16 emergency landing in CRL

The version of a witness : as happens often, the military pilot arriving at CRL wanted to perform some stunt : making a touch and go, departing at full power very steeply - but, this time, he failed and scraped the runway with the tail. I don't see how a tailstrike can cause a belly landing? Not to...

Re: BRU 07/04/2011

I'm not too sure, but since it is a delivery flight... 25R might be used. Although, just go to the back of the JAF-building and you'll be able to get a pretty good shot, since the fire brigade will probably baptize her too ;-)

Re: BRU 07/04/2011

As far as I know, 13.00LT (11.00z) still stands ;-)

EDIT: She's over Abderdeen right now! (8.13LT - 6.13z) Seems like it'll be a hell of a lot earlier than 13.00LT

Re: BRU 03/04/2011

Some more news about JAF:

Tonight Jetairfly will take delivery of a new 737-800 with Sky Interior. ETD is ± 3.45LT.
I'm not too sure about the reg. though.
