Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?

Seems that it is clear to the unions that Jet Airways is leaving BRU and that all activities will move to AMS. The fact they only have 3 slots out of AMS shows the cooperation with KLM and Delta, taking over the flights to the States from AMS. Everything De Tijd wrote 2 weeks ago now turns out to b...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?

Contradicted by newspaper De Standaard: http://www.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20151106_01958156 De Standaard spoke to union delegate Olivier Van Camp this afternoon: - nothing has been decided yet - no announcement was made if it’s a partial or a full retirement - Jet Airways announces 31th March 2016 as ...

Re: Ethiopian moves her Cargo flights from Brussels to Maastricht

You clearly don''t live in The Netherlands as it's clearly not the case. Moreover, if ET would move from MST to BRU, no politician (abeilt the local policticans) would care (AMS/RTM/EIN would be a different story). I wasn't talking about aviation specifically of course, but about scandals under the...

Re: Ethiopian moves her Cargo flights from Brussels to Maastricht

In countries where politicians still know what ministerial responsibility means, such as The Netherlands, the minister would (be forced to) resign.

FedEx is not allowed to own a European airline and will be forced to sell TNT Airways as soon as they acquire TNT.

Re: Lufthansa CEO: "SN could become part of Eurowings"

A nationality is not a race and Eastern Europeans are Caucasians, just like most Belgians, but please cut the crap.

What's the use of having a competition on who's the most Belgian airline? We live in a global village and everyone has his or her personal preferences.

Those news reports are all based on the same source: Belga. Unless there's information added from a different source, there's not much use in repeating the same.

Hence my (sic.). The Germans call Brussels Brüssel of course, which could explain the missing s as well.

Lufthansa CEO: "SN could become part of Eurowings"

Re: Move Brussels Airport to a new place (ask the Nimbies)

MXP isn't exactly close to Milan. The main airport could be far away and BRU could stay a business airport like LIN. As I've argued before, that really depends on where you need to be in Milan. MXP provides excellent access to the north of the city and even to Canton Ticino (CH). If I wanted to vis...

Re: Jetairfly in 2015

In terms of brand awareness, this rebranding operation is plain stupid. If you say "Jetair", my brain instantly adds "de mooiste tijd van het jaar". It will take a decade before TUI will be able to substitute that.

Re: Day trip from BRU to MXP with easyJet

The queues in MXP T2 might be short in the afternoon, but in the early morning (6 a.m.) I've seen them growing up to two hundred meters. The only flight I've ever missed in my life was the morning MXP-BRU with easyJet.

Three (translated) versions of the same source doesn't make it more credible. Always beware of churnalism in these cases.
