737-800, probably an hand me down from one of the other TUI Branches.

If no plane leaves the fleet it means that TUI is quite expanding this year.

2x 737-800
4x 737-8MAX
1x 787-8

Looks logical to me it's the second airport of Brussels....
For Ryanair maybe, for the rest of Belgium I doubt they'll see the Charleroi airport as a "Brussels" airport  Wasn't Charleroi renamed into Brussels South at the end of the 90's or so for Ryanair?

The A340's aren't owned by Finnair (at least not anymore), they are owned by Airbus. If I remember correct the sale of the A340's had a buy back clause which obligated Airbus to take back the birds when the deliveries of the A350 started. ;)

IATA codes are 2 digit codes, ICAO is 3 (ABB).

I guess TBA stands for "to be announced", according to the IATA site they aren't a member (yet).

Anyone who knows the meaning of "LOE"? Seems to be out of place for TUIB to give such a strange registration?

Re: Niki suspends operations, restarts as LaudaMotion

Mr Lauda is probably very short of cash, Ryanair has to fund the start up costs of Laudamotion. The talks with others continue in case the EU would not approve the FR deal. Without FR and in the absence of any other deal Laudamotion will be history before the end of the year. Don't think his wealth...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

To settle once and for all the issue of the Belgian flag represented on Air Belgium aircraft, could we consider that Air Belgium used the 1830 flag with the colours red, yellow and black in a horizontal layout with the red on top? It's only in 1831 that the colours became shown in a vertical layout...

Re: Niki suspends operations, restarts as LaudaMotion

Quite surprising also that they are going to build an Airbus fleet instead of switching to Boeing like it's future parent Ryanair has. The cost of this 75% investment in LaudaMotion (if approved by the EU) will be less than €50m although Ryanair will provide an additional €50m for year 1 start up an...

It would be nice to keep the WiFi: a new source of ancillary revenues!
One day or another they'll have to jump onto the wagon, more and more airlines are getting WiFi and cell service on board. Time for SN to join the club :)

On the flag... I'm convinced it's on purpose because of the target market: China. Could be mentioned before, I don't know... 26 pages is a lot to reread... In China red and yellow stand for good fortune (Look at Hainan's colour scheme), black stands for water and is considered a neutral colour. and...

Not because the second A330 coming will be painted in Brussels Airlines Livery But that one is going to SN and not EW.
