Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
If the pre-check continues to run so smooth as it currently does, there hardly is any need to come earlier to the airport. 2 days ago I had to be at the airport (through the pre-check), in stead of driving 35 minutes to work, it took me 1 hour. very smooth... :? And this is for an airport running a...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Shouldn't we open a new topic where everyone can state when they arrive at the airport and how long it takes to - go into the parking - reaching the check in zone - reaching the gate Now everyone is complaining about the extra checks and time this will take (and are dwelling with the "be there ...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
This morning, there was again a traffic jam at the A201 towards the airport. It seems that everyone is taking the first exit (Zaventem Centrum) for going to the airport But the fly over is open, but because there is a police truck wit a big 'X' on the emergency lane (I think this is for the camera w...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I would say wait and see. As we say in dutch: de soep wordt nooit zo warm gegeten als ze opgediend wordt. Now that BAC is obliged to do entrance checks, they will do everything to avoid long waiting times. Long waiting lines is not good for their image ad their revenue. And maybe that is why renovat...

Re: Re-opening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
It seem that the unions received a new proposal: http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/957/Binnenland/article/detail/2662646/2016/03/31/Vakbonden-luchthavenpolitie-ontvangen-nieuw-voorstel.dhtml In short: - 200 extra agents (mostly for screenings) - a new screenings of all employees at the ariport I's not clear ...

Re: Re-opening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Around noon,I've seen on the page of Brussels Airlines a link to the schedule of 1st of april. When I clicked on it, the list was empty, and sometime later the link was removed from the site.
So hopefully this means they are in full discussion with BRU for starting again on friday..

Re: Re-opening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Does anyone know why there was such a traffic jam towards the airport this morning? Which activity on the airport is causing that much traffic? Are these reated to the 800 persons needed for the test (which only starts this afternoon)? Since Today I'm working at Zaventem (Da Vincilaan) and I should ...

Re: Brussels Airlines announces new short haul product
2 years ago, I already used the standard app 'Passbook' on my Iphone for travelling with Brussels Airlines. So for me, also no printing tickets anymore for when when flying with SN brussels (next flight with them, next october to Edinburgh). But first my summer holiday in August to Dalaman with Neck...

Re: Brussels Airlines' second US destination
I just read the mentioned article in 'De Standaard' about the DC flight (I can't believed I missed this, but this was a bit hidden in their ipad verssion). This was said: Title: Problem child DC - the new DC route is not performing bad, but not as good as hoped for - During Summer, the flight is per...

Re: Is there any plan to expand the rail link at BRU airport
I read today in 'De Standaard', that 'De Lijn' wants to connect Brussels airport with 2 new tram lines The first one will go around brussels: between AZ Jette, Brussels Expo, Brussels Airport and Tervuren. The other one comes from Mechelen and will go directly into Brussels. I can't give a source as...

Re: Korongo Airlines
I've seen that they removed the timetables from their website. As of now, you need to call them for obtaining the flights.
Does this mean something? Are they in trouble and reducing flights?
