Re: Air France flight AFR447 Airbus A332 missing

let's say within 2 to 5 year when they have retrieved every piece of the bottom of the ocean. ( by the way: what is the depth over there? ) Just one post above: Since the lack of mayday calls it can be assumed that the airplane disintegrated very rapidly. Also the depth of the ocean can be a proble...

Re: Air France flight AFR447 Airbus A332 missing

A terrorist attack seems unlikely due to the remote location: the main point of a terrorist attack is that everybody immediately sees the horrible results of the attack, not after days or weeks of searching the bottom of the ocean, if ever. Although I think the explosion on board the Philippine 747...

Re: Air France flight AFR447 Airbus A332 missing

Is it possible that there is a a radio transmitter beacon activated ? Or is it not possible due to the high impact of the (presumed) crash? It has allready being confirmed that none of the 3 beacons available on the A330 were activated since no sattelite picked up a signal. The beacons don't work u...

Re: Second B747-400 for CargoB OO-CBD

OO-CBA & OO-CBB are still registered also, while OO-CBA probably will be scrapped out of the register, OO-CBB will remain flying as a backup.

EDIT: didn't see that you mentioned the -400. My mistake

Just to make something clear ;) Vlamingen friends is not something that exists in the English language. I t...

Re: Cargo B moves to LGG

There is a huge stress around that, for sure. Let me tell you what I see from my PoV, in the other side of the country : the federal minister for Transport is flemish, and the previous one also, and the one before. Brussels region has an influence, you are right. Negative, you are right. But Brusse...

Re: Hewa Bora at BRU

It is one think to have money to buy a company and it is another thing to use "methods from mafia" to keep the opponents out of the market. It is not loyal to have only one operator in any route, that's the same reason why the EC will refuse the merge of Lufthansa and Brusels Airlines nex...

Re: UA to charge 'heavy' people for extra seat

I do have problems with this... Although I consider myself as a COS (customer of size), I do fit in a regular airline seat, even in a bulkheadseat wich is slightly narrower then a regular seat. Normally I use a single seatbelt extension although I mostly don't need them (but since it's on the limit ...

Re: Pictures of first B747-400F for Cargo B

I think you got some wrong info somewhere, Cargo B does not fly with B747-400ERF but with 747-400F. The picture you showed of OO-CBD is JAKZ10 or LN1418. which is the 2nd last 747-400 ever build. ;) You are right about the plane. LN1418 is indeed OO-CBD which is the 2nd last 744 build. OO-CBC was L...

Re: Pictures of first B747-400F for Cargo B

It seems that the 2nd last -400 ever build will also go to CargoB. If true then CargoB will be operating 3 Boeing B747-400ERF's including LN1418, the 2nd last -400 made.

Re: belgian air force airbus 310

You'll have to hurry, both A310's are scheduled for replacement by new planes that will be leased. Afaik I thought they are allready asking for offers to lease new planes. Since it's a bit slow in aviation it can go fast if the government makes a decision. But probably (like always in Belgium) it wi...

Re: US immigration in Europe

With the amount of PAX flights to the USA from BRU I find it very unlikely this will happen...

AFAIK only JFK/EWR, IAD, PHL, ORD and ATL are served from BRU. No reason to make a US immigration point in BRU... Although I would like the idea ;)
