Re: BRU Summer 2017: news, new routes, airlines
The press release from Sept 2016 was correct at that time. I only noticed the reductions recently when someone else reported on luchtzak.be that HAM was being reduced to 1 daily from 2 daily. Then started to look at the Ryanair and Brussels Airport websites and noticed more reductions.

Re: BRU Summer 2017: news, new routes, airlines
Ryanair reducing frequencies on certain routes (W1617 vs S17) from Brussels and of course NO offial statement from FR. With other airlines it doesn't bother me, but FR only shows the inflated good news. Can't remember the exact frquencies of last summer, but some seem to be less then last summer as ...

Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Antwerp airport has a full license for commercial traffic and is not limited to business operations with some leisure activities only. Every Jetairfly flights is scheduled and they are not charter flights. Touch and go's I can make every 5 min if I want with my Cessna 172, 10 movements per hour... 6...

Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
I agree that a 50 seater is a little too small for ANR-LCY. Many times the evening flights from LCY to ANR are fully booked a week in advance. Same for the early mornings from ANR. This way they are loosing passengers since they need to look for another option for their trip. An ATR72(68 seats) woul...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
The Aviation Factory has to do it themselves. And not with 6 F50s as in the plan with Freddy Van Gaever. They should make their Vizionair a real airline. They can generate the income, they have grown their business a lot over the past few years. Why wouldn't they be able to start with just 2 F50s or...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
Show some respect... You also talk a lot of bullsh*t... everyone has an opinion, respect it and discuss if you have something to say. FVG can't take the whole company, because it is gone. He can only buy what is left. He will buy the F50s later, for now he wants to rent them from the liquidator. And...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
Indeed in the booking engine some flights indicated as CRJ900, but I don't think it is certified to land in LCY. So I expect it to be RJ85 only for now.

Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Bmi Regional closed their base in MAN. ANR operation cancelled. Stobart operating as Flybe: fleet reduced from 2 to 1 ATR at SEN. ANR operation cancelled. VLM almost killed by management after buyout due to bad decisions. GVA and BHX cancelled from ANR. HAM and SOU seem to do better lately. Chalair ...

Re: Trip report BRU-BCN-BRU on Vueling... or should it be Delay-ing...
If you like to go to BCN I would book Jetair from ANR (or OST) and avoid most troubles. They are also delayed many times due to slots at BCN, butmost of the times just 30 min late returning to Belgium and then it would take me 5 min to get outside of the airport... BTW most of the times they are che...

Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Opening hours of ANR have been 630 until 2300 for as long as I can remember. Landing after 2300 for ANR based airplanes that are delayed and scheduled to land latest at 2230. So JAF is operating 100% inside these limits and the limits have not changed since EGIS took control. If people assume that l...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
Air France - KLM just sold them two year ago ... don't see them buying them.
They would be a good fit for Flybe: many planes on order, not enough pilots and looking for bases in Europe...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
VLM seems to do very well in FDH: extra flights to HAM and looking for more slots in TXL. LF over 60% on all 3 routes now.

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
LH had a codeshare on the bmi flights from LGG to MUC ... so why not from ANR?
Maybe now even more than before to give their passengers an option to avoid the mess in BRU.
VLM is already doing the same as bmi or Flybe: they fly for Cityjet and Flybe, but not yet SN...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
They seems to have a very specific list of destinations being reviewed from ANR. From other destinations it is just about which country as destination. Hope they can find something that works for them from ANR, but also hope they could get a codeshare on the new route: Lyon with HOP! or Munich with ...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
People always read the negative in the news. Wirecard wanted to have 500 000 EUR because the technical limit of the amount of tickets sold was reached. VLM is not used to selling a lot of tickets. So the amount of tickets booked since the launch of their FDH operation is a lot bigger then it was bef...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
The 2 Q400 are leased to Brussels Airlines and it is their call to let us fly again. Crew is mixed: some (like me) are based in BRU, others are based in the UK and that is where they are. We have no non-BRU based crew here at the moment. In the next few months all crew will be BRU based and no more ...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
On the Brussels Airlines website they say that there are only connections from long haul to CDG, FRA and ZRH. So I am almost sure this is a mistake on the BRU website. As far only 8 short haul and 3 long haul planned at BRU on Monday.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
To me it seemed for sure it they said every day 'maybe tomorrow'. And this because of the way they communicated towards the public and towards companies as well. Every day I got a call from crewing informing me that my flight is cancelled for ... March/April, one day every time. My operations depart...
