Re: Future of TNT passenger flights

Funny you should ask. I just had lunch with a TNT pilot ( 737 300/400) who told me that they had kept 2 737 QC. They will fly for Thomas Cook and they have been repainted entirely in white!
Hope this answers your question.

Re: Brussels Airport route map

It really is a matter of vocabulary used on each side of the Atlantic: In the US, a direct flight is always with an intermediate stop, but no plane change; a non stop flight is, well, non stop. However, I could never understand how airlines get away with assigning a single number for flights that or...

Re: Ryanair introduces €2 delays compensation fee

Looks very much like an excuse again, but hey, why not. What I don't believe is his 100 million compensation fee, but who's gonna verify. Pure speculation: Ryanair carries around 195.000 passengers a day. There were maybe 20 days of disruption over the year in a very limited number of markets . So, ...

Re: Full take-over of Brussels Airlines by Lufthansa

Sorry, realy off topic, but to complete info about Pan-Am ( for megaman) here's something. Was wondering if same could be done to resurect SABENA. Reuse of name The Pan Am brand was resurrected four times after 1991, but the reincarnations were related to the original Pan Am in name only. In Novembe...

Re: Full take over Brussels airlines by lufthansa

] Brussels airlines is a name that has no aura to it. How does Amsterdam Airlines, Dublin Airlines, Barcelona Airlines, Washington Airlines sound to your ears (giving these just as examples). They don't sound great to mine, just as Brussels Airlines does not. It sounds small, lacking of ambition and...

If you book 4 seats in one transaction I believe you pay the credit card fee only once ie: 7 €. But what about Jetairfly which charges 15 € credit card fee per transaction, now that's a rip off..

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport

In fact Carcassonne for Ryanair has no concurrence and so, his Total Average Market is not the usual one (in fact 60km) but a TAM higher than 200 km: you often see at Charleroi cars from Germany and France. Raynair can't go to Davos and St Moritz, but nobody in a very large circle around LGG goes t...

Ok thanks, didn't know about TSF closing. However, there are 7 destinations more from VCE than TSF not bookable yet on either of the cities. Bit strange.

Ryanair does it again

After moving most of its flights from GRO to BCN, with the catastrophic outcome for Gerona we know, Ryanair is opening 35 new routes from VCE, thus probably sending Treviso into oblivion in the near future. TSF brand new airport was completed 3 years ago probably at the request and based on promises...

oh dear, no one flies on SN anymore ! but who am I to talk, I just did BVA-GRO-MAD-BVA and CRL-CCF-CRL this past week, all on FR. Same trip on SN ( BCN instead of GRO and TLS instead of CCF) would have cost 8 times more. Doing CRL-TLN with JAF next month.

This is probably a question for acid-drop. Whatever happened to the 3 russian MIL helicopters that were parked at CRL for years? Scrapped, flown somewhere...still there at a different location in the airport?
