Re: Thai to serve BRU as from Nov 2011 !

Good that the average traveller would notice the difference between an airbus, boeing or modern Ilyushin...
The plane looks modern, and I wouldn't hesitate to fly it.

About the alcohol, it seems normal for me. Russians and free booze would result in terror :D.

Re: Thai to serve BRU as from Nov 2011 !

Sorry but long haul charters are just meh to me. They really don't have a purpose except for dumping people in sardine cans. The only real use I see in them are niche destinations like the Maldives, Caribbean, ...

Higher prices for the customer, as there's less to no competition ;)

Re: which carrier to BKK?

Don't pick KLM, 10-abreast in their 777! Prepare to arrive broken. Also food is in tiny portions. I'd also suggest you pick Qatar Airways.

Re: Ostend Airport - Latest news

I made two return flights to Ostend from Stansted with Ryanair a few years ago. Honestly I had no complaints about the size of the terminal building or what it looked like inside. Getting through the airport was simplicity itself and it was very speedy which was great for me because I don't want to...

Re: Ostend Airport - Latest news

Yes, the numer of passengers is on the rise but on the other hand the cargo isn't doing so well (mk airlines), every year we are seeing an increase in pax (charterflights in the summer, and to the canary islands and southern spain in the winter). I think that we'll see this trend growing again. Ever...

Re: Korongo Airlines

@ Congolaise Don't blame the messenger for bringing the truth to you. Yes, Korongo is a (mainly) Belgian airline and yes it's being run out of Brussels so it's rather normal for a company to make money. It's even a plus for Congo if they succeed, think about all the jobs it will create if it grows i...

Re: BMI joins LH's Atlantic Joint Venture, LX and OS next

Lessons have been learnt... SN took Swissair with her indirectly (and vice versa), that's the thing that I don't see happening with LH, imho one of the best managed companies in the whole world. I have full confidence in luftie.
