Re: Lufthansa pilots announce strike

So nobody should ever strike indeed. if you don't like it you are free to leave and nobody forced you to work for your employer in the first place. i suggest you all start your own company and i'll gladly join you! every time i want a raise or less working hours i'll tell you i'll strike if i don't...

Re: Lufthansa pilots announce strike

Re: Lufthansa pilots announce strike

too bad they can't all be sacked. if i would sabotage operations to get more money my C4 would be ready in minutes Speaking as someone who's travelling on Lufthansa in a few weeks and thus might be affected by this: if you want to deny people the right to strike, you really have no place in a free ...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

you'll get used to it. i've seen people from aviapartner giving names to flight deck crews like asshole, dog, ... if i walk around in BRU without a suit + badge BIAC staff looks at you like you are dirt. they only act nice once they figure out you could have connections. its the kind of atmosphere t...

Sean_DM wrote:why anyone would want to prevent a pax flow is a mistery to me :?
because direct flights cost more so airlines make more money on them. don't forget the JFK flights are part of a joint venture

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

its not unusual to keep the price artificially high in the booking system on some transfer flights.

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Looks like it is sort of a standardized computer interface which allows handlers (and apparently also others on it) to go straight into the reservation and check-in system of the airlines linked to it in order to gain all the operational data they may need, all without them having to gain access to...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Regarding DCS: Behind DCS you have an UCF (user control file) for each user. The UCF file is controlled by an airline admin or by the provider (before Atraxis Belgium for SN or Atraxis AG for the other ailrlines). SN took the option to provide the admin rights to Atraxis Belgium before. In the UCF ...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

And it allows to look at another operator's load factors? I would consider that strategic information, no? it doesn't but its very easy to request the flights of the day or an other date and see how many seats are free/used you should see it as a counter part of CRS like amadeus and galileo but the...

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport

Out of curiosity: what is a DCS system? it stands for departure control system, the sabena/swissport belgium DCS for example is from switzerland and mutliple companies use it (most have their own DCS client like WINDSM for sabena) and in turn the DCS systems are linkend with others. in DCS flights ...
