Could SkyEurope take over some of the routes? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they were only flying to/from Brussels and Moscow in the end. And it appears they had a habit of cancelling flights to Brussels quite often... SkyEurope's opening of its Vienna base and summer expansion at Bratislava ...

Still... would be good if, like some other airports, they'd put the aircraft registration. Could this be possible or forthcoming?

Anyway I didn't know return tickets to Krakow with SkyEurope could be so low!!! (btw wasn't SkyEurope started by Belgians??) Nor did I, but I was caught by surprise when I came across some fares for €0,01 in December, at the same time as their "we pay your taxes and charges" offer. Funnil...

Charlie, I noticed the schedules almost immediately too and share exactly the same thoughts! SkyEurope have an almost unbeatable schedule to Krakow as Monday flights are actually early in the morning (back in time for work!). Re fares; cheapest on both (inc taxes and charges) is around €50. Add the ...

Excellent news!
I understand this was one of the now-defunct Air Polonia's only profitable routes, and a poll on Katowice website a few months ago indicated Brussels was the most-wanted new destination. I'm surprised its taken this long for them to launch it, but sure it will be a success!

I don't believe anyone's lying, but fifteen Ryanair aircraft at Charleroi seems like far too many. It's a relatively large base, with four aircraft carrying approximately 1.5 million pax per year (guestimate!), so why would they rapidly quadruple the number of aircraft based at an airport designed t...

Ok, maybe I was a bit harsh criticising the TEC connection to Charleroi-Sud... I arrived in BCSA from Casablanca on a Sunday in December and found there was no TEC bus for an hour, and then I'd have to wait 30 odd minutes for a connecting train to Brussels. I think that's what annoyed me most! The 1...

Ryanair are pressuring Warsaw to re-open the Modlin airfield as a low-cost airport and I've read that this could happen as early as spring 2008, so perhaps yes, they'll compete with Wizzair. I'd expect Wizz to also move to Modlin too. But I expect they're more likely to start a connection to Wroclaw...

Charleroi's new terminal

Has a date been fixed for the opening of the new terminal at BCSA? They've been saying 2007, then autumn 2007 for a long time now... Where can one find more information about the new terminal? For example, - will there be a rail connection? - will they improve access to the airport by allowing other...

Thanks for the suggestion Airbuske, but I never expected it to work on checkmytrip.com, because this site is for checking reservations made on the Amadeus network (eg, BA, LOT, Lufthansa etc). Viewtrip.com is used for Galileo network bookings - I think there is a big American airlines like Continent...

I expect it to work on the Bru...

I am/was booked on BA399 to LHR at 18.40 on Thursday which has now been cancelled and have been left stranded, stuck, here in Brussels :( ...disaster!

Badly I imagine, I've asked myself the same question. The problem seems to me to have been that Smartwings never really made a concerted effort to succeed in the low-cost market, and if you want to make it, I think you need to work hard. Little investment, very frequent delays and plenty of cancella...
