Flybe, I agree with you ... Don't forget that SNBA has still some room for 'natural' expansion, it means that they receive more pax with the same offer ... See to their load factors, good but not enough. Expansion will come, but afterwards ... (step by step). At several occasions SNBA stated clearly...

Thanks for the info! @Koen: thanks for the MAN info, I checked MAN yesterday and did not find T4/OA codeshare flights. The competition seems to be very strong between ATH and BRU: with the dumping prices of the last months in mind, and with the fact that VEX will increase their frequency on this ro...

Nice to see that Malta will be an SN destination. But seeing the flight numbers I suppose that the flights won't be operated by SN planes, will they ? Greetz Chris Correct, it's KM and IB that do the flight. The IB flight from Oviedo is the new one for this winter schedule. I also tried to ch...

SNBA in codeshare to Malta and Oviedo?
Hi all, Was just looking at the BIAC website. It seems that after codesharing on the Brussels-Sofia route, SNBA will start code sharing on Brussels-Malta (KM) and Brussels-Oviedo (IB) route. 8O Can anyone confirm? SN5683 1..4.67 BRU-MLA (20.10-22.50) - A319 (except on Monday, 737) SN5682 1..4.67 MLA...

Hi all, Never experienced the airliners in C-class mentioned in the poll. I only used KLM, SN, SNBA and Swissair in C-class. All of them had a semi-flat 'bed'. In SNBA or SN seats were reclining 155°. Is there a big difference with a 'real flat bed'? Is there a big price difference? I liked very muc...

If I understand well, the month of May will be a very good month although not all the figures are there yet: I see roughly 48.500 transfert pax (= 97.000 in total) I see roughly 660.800 departing pax ( so +/- 1.321.600 departing and arriving if we assume them being equal which is not the case I gues...

Where are BIAC's statistics?
Dear all,
I wander why BIAC does not publish anymore statistics on movements, pax and freight each month (not anymore since March). I only see an update graph on statistics, but no figures on their website. Anyone knows why or where I can find the figures?
Danny

Hi Andre, I don't know if this is systematic, but last year I wanted to fly between Berlin and Munchen. Germania was full, so I took LH. They told me in the airport that I could only buy a business ticket, economy was even not available they said. Afterwards I saw that economy was not completly full...

Danny: Well I'm glad you're satisfied with what you get. Maybe I'm just more demanding or better travelled. If my company pays (often) ridiculous expensive fares for C/Cl tickets, it's not just for full flexibility but also to ensure that conditions are optimum for me to work best before, during an...

DannyVDB, But if the C class of SN is very good, why wouldn't there be much C class pax ??? like VFlies said: whenever I fly with them I find the C/Cl usually very empty (except on Friday and Sunday nights)... Why would they prefer other carriers ? Greetz Chris Chris, Because I think the picture is...

Hi Erwin, You are correct that there are a lot of 'advantages' that are not special at all. For me the most important things are: the extra luggage for African (and other flights), the access to the lounge even with Y ticket to do some work while waiting for a delayed flight (including someone who f...

Lucky you Danny. That is something I will never get, seeing as SNBA have greatly reduced the fare types which qualify for miles (all the tickets I have booked with them this year have suddenly been excluded, even though they were eligible when I booked them, they weren't when I came to bloody trave...

Hi all, I think we should not only look at the Y/C ratio. SNBA is doing relatively well because 1) they have at least C pax, 2) they have a lot of 'normal' pax (not paying the cheapest, 3) they fill the rest of the plane with special (lower) fares. In addition, they are saving costs the whole time (...
