Re: BERLIN AIRPORT
Yes indeed, the opening of BER has been postponed at the very last minute, so it seems all flights will continue to operate to their former airport, either TXL or SXF. We got a mail at work from our travel agency today, saying that as far as Brussels Airlines goes, the schedules remain unaffected, b...

Tent at B Pier gone?
Just returned from a business trip to the UK and noticed that the well known tent at the B pier, used as a sort of bus terminal for remotely parked non-schengen flights, is gone? Anybody who has more information? I understand they are probably regaining some gate space for widebodies that way, but w...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
Wow,what a fight between flanker and inquirer... it smels like "rage" between those two. Flanker seems to destroy anything SN does and Inquirer seems to protect SN at any cost... No rage whatsoever on my side: I wasn't banned for a week recently... I have highlighted technical issu...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
Don't you understand that people booking a 50 euro flight have different expectations than people booking a 200 to 2000 euro flight? . I think ALL passengers love an easy booking without errors or stupid menus, regardless the fare they pay??? Suggesting people who fly RYANAIR somehow get less irrit...

Re: LH email alert: NYC for 499€; backstabbing SN?
What were you expecting? That Lufthansa simply refuses to sell New York tickets in Belgium and refers everybody to Brussels Airlines? Never going to happen, not even if they take the full 100% share in them! FWIW, you can book Lufthansa tickets from ZRH to JFK via FRA or MUC too you know, despite Sw...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
If that loads after other items, it's kind of more the fault of how they programed the homepage items to open and not the customer's fault to wait. This is an SN issue, other websites don't have it. So here you tell one customer to wait until everything loads, what do you tell the other millions of...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
Well Inquirer, that is your fault, shame on you. Or at least according to SN that is so. I have the issue all the time by the way and this is the only airline website that I ever used that has this problem. Why are you putting words in their mouth? At least they communicate with their customers her...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
I also never get a pull down calender when clicking the logo and need to enter the dates manually, which is a bit of a hassle, but okay, whatever.... This problem probably occurs because you click the fields too fast, while the page is still loading. If you then reload the page, you will get ...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
I agree that the Brussels Airlines website needs to be improved. I always have issues when looking for flights which originate from an airport other than Brussels (e.g. Dakar - Brussels), from the homepage it never gives me the pop down to select the 2 airports. This results in an error and directs...

Re: Brussels Airlines website
True,if i'm prompt to condemn,i can also see the good things: Nice to see some SN mangement online. Indeed! Refreshing to see an airline accepting positive criticism from an anonymous poster in order to improve their way of doing and is even seeking more feedback to help out in the individual case;...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
The Crossair of 20 years ago has nothing to do with anything I proposed. From what you have been saying about your idea, you'd establish a regional network at BRU, consisting of both larger as well as smaller European towns, all of which served with high frequencies in order to allow corporate pass...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
They should have limited the A320's to 7 or 8 units, operating them to the few city pairs and midhaul routes where the capacity is necessary How many airbusses were added? I don't think much more than that? Most in replacement of 737 too... To me, they have simply reduced the size of their fleet mo...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
Desperate is a word some like to use quite randomly here. Reality is this is a fairy normal and even sound HR approach in todays economic climate: At my company (world's biggest packaging group) we also have our little cost savings plan (sic) and one of the measures for our European plants is not ac...

Nice report MD-11!
Seems like pilots really don't mind filling out your little data sheets.
Any pictures taken, or are you more of a factual geek?

Re: OLT Express to BRU
This airline is nothing but a ponzy scheme if one is to believe some well informed sources. The owner of the airline is a Polish construction company which gets its funding from taking in deposits from ordinary people and promissing them a minimum return of 10%, with a target of 16% even! Needless t...

Re: TUI announces new livery
I have been looking at the new livery for some time before posting, to make sure I didnt jump to conclusions. It definitely looks better than what they have today, although that isn't much of an achievement really, but I can't say I am wild of enthusiasm about the new one: Same dull colours (albeit ...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial prospective?
Your theory is interesting but it doesn't hold. The weird thing is, I didn't even put forward any theory at all; you did! Remember it was YOU who came up with some out of context raw data from the annual report of Lufthansa as proof of a some rather naive statement to conclude that first po...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial prospective?
those 25% will go into the Lufthana Technics account, and be used for logistical purposes. This was a good reason for SN to waste extra money in the chocolates they serve with their cheap-looking print on it, because even the Avro's burn too much fuel to make Davignon happy enoguh to buy Virgin fro...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial prospective?
So to summarise, you don't know what the services stand for either??? They represent not even 5% of annual turn around however, so provided they are not totally useless or non-existing services, they can hardly represent a huge cash drain on the part of B.Air should they be indeed of a malicious nat...
