Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2015

Does anyone know why Small Planet Airlines operated a flight (A320) out of EBOS @ 11:30h?

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with flight M

press conference starting in minutes (check bbc). theyve probably identified it.

In a nutshell, further INMARSAT sattelite transmissions concluded that the last position showed that the plane was last spotted west of Perth, presumably crashed.

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with flight M

There is no lack of theories about MH370. Here is a very simple one: Electrical fire on-board. The pilot wants to divert to the closest suitable airport: Langkawi. Loss of transponders and communications is explained by fire. Overcome by smoke in the cockpit, the pilot abandons control to the auto-...

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with flight M

Tomnod just published the results of the first sattelite photo finds. Some interesting stuff in there. Interesting detail, there is a clear (smaller) airplane visible as well in the right topside (aside from lots of trash). You can check the results here.

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with flight M

Hopefully the Indonesians have some more radar information. Let's hope the plane didn't cross Sumatra too, which would lead it to the vast depths of the Indian Ocean.

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with flight M

The thing with a high altitude explosion is that would leave a huge field of (visible) debris in the immediate vicinity of the last known locaton. I've read somewhere that Malaysia's seats could double as a kind of floating device in a water ditching. This would have been spotted pretty easily (espe...

Re: Malaysia Airlines says it has lost contact with a flight

2 days on, and still no sign of the plane... Not even debris. Does anyone know how long it took for the Brazilians to find the first pieces of debris from the Air France flight in the Atlantic. It keeps surprising me, especially because this isn't a remote area in SE-Asia. It's a heavy shipping lane...

According to the latest rumours, a 'Russian' passenger was denied boarding because of an invalid passport.

I don't think this is coincidence tbh.

Re: BRU summer 2014: latest news, routes, airlines

Very easy. We already have quite the connections to the Middle East. Qatar, Etihad, Jet, Thai are entrenched in BRU. It might be more profitable to go to airports without connections to the ME.

EDIT: actually this was already explained in the quote two posts above :D

As far as I know there aren't actual plans to add a second 787. Could be wrong though.

If only they had Embraer's, that would be the perfect fit for Ostend. That's why I always thought flybe would fly to Ostend one day.

Thx for the first pics, I was wondering what that strange propeller noise was! Couldn't see it because it took off in the wrong direction, but there was a specific humming sound to it + I couldn't find it back on flight traffic.

Had the same thing on the LHR-BRU flight 2 weeks ago. We received a waffel and an oj/water. It was a real nice touch to the service. On the BRU-VIE & VIE-BRU there was nothing for b.light.

My stepsister was on that flight. Apparently there was an alarm in the cockpit regarding the landing gear. Fortunately nothing bad happened, and she was home in 10 minutes instead of +1hour.

Re: Strange KEF landing of a LOT Boeing 787

Something creeps me out regarding the 787. As soon as one issue seems fixxed, another one pops up. I sincerely hope the 787 doesn't experience a fatal accident, or I guess the backlash could kill the -800. Anyways I'm certain they can manage To fix these issues, but for now I'll try to avoid flying ...
