Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
No, I mean the type of aircraft to be delivered... They should seriously consider the A220 as a replacement of the older A319. Very comfortable aircraft to fly, very low noise inside and wide seats (2-3 seating is nice when you're flying as a couple). Very powerful at take-off... And fleet commonal...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2022
SN3841(OO-TCH) turned back to BRU while over the France/Spain border. Now back en route to RAK. Cause of the incident? I asked Kim Daenen, head of communication department of Brussels Airlines. Here is her answer: During flight SN3841 there was an indication in the cockpit that the voice and data r...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2022
What happened to OO-SNF?
Seems it was stuck in TFS for two days on January 25th and 26th?
Now on its return leg to BRU.
Regards,
Duke

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2022
This morning, OO-TMY, flying TB1073, was circling for about half an hour above OST at around14:00 h, tried to land twice and finally diverted to Brussels.
Two hours later, it returned to OST, and went on to AGP with about 3 hours delay.
Was this because of fog in OST?
Regards,
Duke

Sorry if I cannot do more, but I am almost single-handedly handling all the news on this website, and I also have a life next to aviation24.be Lots of respect, André.. But I guess you're not the only person who is posting here... The silence of other members, who are posting almost daily, is deafen...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2021
It’s not the first time I have questions about the neutrality of this forum and website. Quo vadis Luchtzak.be? I am out of here, goodbye! To be honest, I was surprised too, and did not expect this from this forum, which until now I highly estimated. This has changed now for me too... I thought thi...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
The scenes around belt 7 and 8 (where the offices of the handlers are) were horrible: literally hundreds of bags were laying around on the ground next to the belts. Most bags were transfer bags who clearly missed their connection at BRU. They were just laying there. Arriving pax were walking around...

Three Airbus A320neo to join the Brussels Airlines fleet in 2023 “ Next to that, the three new aircraft will bring us closer to our target of a fully harmonized A320 medium-haul fleet to aircraft only, herewith not only further reducing the complexity of our Maintenance & Engineering activities...

Re: Belgian Air Force news
And I found out that it is currently flying in the Caribbean: it just took off from Willemstad (Curacao) to go to ...? What is the Belgian Air Force doing over there? Too bad nobody could give an answer to this question, except that it flew to Bermuda. Maybe a charter, but with a BAF flight numer? ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Same story here, not only with Brussels Airlines, but with LH Group. I tried to go to AGP in the beginning of September (usling the LH Group as I'm a Miles and More member), my wife and my daughter had booked earlier with Tui. First try : I booked BRU-ZRH-AGP r/t with Swiss in Business Saver and use...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020
I thought V1 was the speed at which there is no other option than take off?
Sounds quite a risky decision to still try to stop after V1...
But, I'm not a pilot, so just my (maybe wrong) thoughts...

Duke
