Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017

Honestly, I still do fail to understand why Brussels Airlines will have to operate these A340s on behalf of Eurowings... Because LH owns them and tells them what to do. Certainly because Spohr doesn't want that his EW-project fails... The beginning of the end??? I am very pessimistic with this Euro...

Can somebody explain to me what the difference is between the wet leasing contract and the "only codesharing" thing?

Thank you.

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?

This waiting proces for both Air B. and VlM is takng so long that i can not believe anymore this is just coincidence. There must be protectionism be involved, from certain airline companies or airports.....or even politcal authorities who are happy to see these projects to fail. Truly ashamed to be ...

To be honest, if it is not VLM, i dont see any other operators doing this. Flybe perhaps. Ba cityflyer certainly not. There needs be stability in EBAW.

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

IMHO, the list of credible candidates to take over the route is rather short (but still, not so short as to despair): - VLM (with or without a Belgian AOC but with one of the Fokkers for sure) - BA (operated by BA Cityflyer with E190 or if that's too big Sun-Air with a Dornier 328) - BMI (ERJ 135/1...

Re: EBKT (Kortrijk/Wevelgem) no longer IFR

Yes you still have to be very careful down there. I was flying once out of ebkt and just after take off we got a tcas ra.

It would be nice to create a CTR.

Why does the Belgian CAA take so long to grant an AOC?

Still the question remains why the Belgian CAA is doing so difficult about granting this AOC? Is it badwill on their behalf, being protective or is it vlm not fulfilling some of the requirements?

All very vague and quiet.

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

One thing i dont understand: how can you operate a oo-registred aircraft on a slovanian AOC? I thought that the registration had to be changed as well to an slovanian one?

It is a bit like driving a taxi in slovenia with a belgian registrated car, no??

Somebody can explain?

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

I fully agree. There is not much effort done to attract other players to EBAW. Unless.. there is no one really interested, which also possible. I stay with my own opinion, they should invest more in the airport to attract bizz jetoperators, more FBO's like eg Signature, more fuel suppliers and why n...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

Well, when i am in wallonie, i always try to speak french, out of respect, (and no my french is not good at all). But at least i am doing an effort. So it should be the other way around. If our wallonian friends come to the flemish part, at least try, just out of respect. A few words is appreciating...

Re: Brussels Airlines takes over Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium

Romax i dont contest what you are saying, i guess you well better informed than i am. But it is all strange to me to take over a company, not really know how to implement this and saying "let's see how it will develop within 2 years and then we can make a decision". They must have already ...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

Indeed, gva, man...sounds like a deja vû.

Blurry slides, spelling errors, destinations which are already tried in the past....

It all sounds very dodgy to me and it is a pitty that the name VLM has been using for this "scam".

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

I agree. RIP VLM. Was looking forward to seen them back flying in Antwerp.

I consider VLM now as "over and out". Let's hope one day there will be a VLM 2.0 in EBAW.

Then i am still wondering why they want to have a belgian AOC if they can get it in Slovenia.
