The only thing I can say abouth this subject is that in the past when we use to live in Zaire in difficult times we where very happy that Sabena was Flying.
And there where no other doing so...

No need for that : they get governmental subsidies to compensate.

But if they move all the employees to Ireland they will be even more efficient.

When I bough my house they where no planes!?!?! 25 years ago noisy DC-10s and 747-100s, often at low altitude due to max TOW, were overflying your house at midnight almost every day! I think we have to make choses and yes an airport is important but a smaller one. With no night flights, we can bring those flights to other airports Ex: maybe Oostende or Liege,Cologne...
