It would be strange that SN's performance would be bad if we look at the numbers provided to us each month.
SN was month after month one of the best performers of the group yet the results would be bad???

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Davignon says in an Article on vrt he is not worried about tomorrow “I have reasons to be unhappy, but not to be worried” Suppose we’ll see tomorrow... I guess due all commotion of the past days Lufthansa will just fire the CEO and CFO and that will be it. After the storm has passed they'll probabl...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
Strange registrations though, first they broke with the OO-Jxx registrations in favour of OO-Txx and now some random ones unless There's a Loe, a Lis and a Sro that will get a plane named after them?

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
Thanks, @Bralo, you show more courage for research than I could muster on this "sunny sunday afternoon" :) OO-SRO rang a strong Sobelair bell in my dusty memory but I can really find no trace... Apparently OO-SRO was indeed used but I guess the digital records of FOD Mobiliteit aren't goi...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
@TLspotting: do not forget the Belgian CAA want to keep one and the same registration for one and the same aircraft. They have a limit, I think of 10 years, before an ex-OO plane can get a new/different OO-xxx. OO-LOE, OO-SRO were never used, OO-LIS was a Jodel D120 which was cancelled 36 years ago...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
OK I'm dreaming a bit now.... but Belgium should bring SABENA back this year and slowly start putting the airline back on track... so the country can have a National airline... Go talk to Al Bakker :) he has enough money and I don't think he's particularly friends with LH.... He just put money into...

De Tijd reports that the Lufthansa board intends to replace Brussels Airlines CEO Bernard Gustin because of he opposes the introduction of a pure low cost model and the integration of SN into Eurowings. source: https://www.tijd.be/ondernemen/luchtvaart/Topman-Gustin-op-schietstoel-bij-Brussels-Airl...

Re: Boeing 747-8 news
Who would have thought that: another order for the 747-8. UPS buys 14 additional 747-8Fs, thereby doubling their 2016 order for the 747-8F: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/ups/ups-commits-purchase-14-additional-boeing-747-8f-freighters-orders-4-new-boeing-767s/ The freighter will keep on selling...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
I give them max 12 months before they go bankrupt. You're optimistic  , I still don't see them start, especially after the stunt they pulled of yesterday to put the Belgian CAA under pressure, knowing how things work it can backfire. IMHO the stupidest thing they could do. But we'll see, i...

They looked at SN and thought, hey that blue tail is nice, let's adopt it but for our brand but leave behind the two tone fuselage, that's to expensive, it has to be cheaper

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
Hmm, According to VRT they don't have their AOC but they hope to receive it... So today's presser is just to put pressure  on the CAA... I'll guess we'll see where that's going in the next couple of weeks or months :-) Luckily they have lots of Chinese money to burn, 2 years and 50 staff on...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
I stand corrected! Any news on their AOC? Cheers, Stij If they make such announcement than they'll most likely have their AOC in hand, no startup airline would be so foolish to have a press conference to announce such things without an AOC in their pocket. Unless it's to put pressure on the Belgian...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018
The flags have been disappearing from all planes since they've become TUI Fly. Sad development, in my eyes... Oh, didn't know that, thought that the flag was mandatory just like we had a mandatory "B" on our cars way back (if you left the country with your car) (nowadays, the B is part of...

Looking at the pics on the frontpage, is that size of toilet normal? Doesn't seem very comfortable to me, it's soo tiny... Let alone that you can join the mile high club in that space
