Re: Press report: "all 11 Belgian C-130's are grounded"
Nothing wrong with the flight controls themselves. According to some sources the problem come from the hydraulic fluid that powered them. BAF try to save some money by using a mineral based fluid instead of the full synthetic fluid. The mineral based fluid as a temperature rating that is not adequat...

Nice 3D pictures. But back to earth, any news about the AOC and more important about the chinese money ? Last week "radio tarmac" was buzzing with rumors that the chinese part pulled out of the project. Hong-Kong as nothing to do with chinese charters and today's pictures don't look like a...

Re: Airbus A350 XWB news
About the A350-900ULR of SQ i read a lot of articles but there seems to be two opinions. One is that these aircraft have extra tanks, the other is that Airbus find some spare volume inside the existing tanks. But its almost 30% more fuel. I cannot make up my mind on this.

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
Military aircraft do almost whatever they want. Most of the time C130 are flying VFR and do not comply with anything. No limits in bank angle, no limits in speeds or noise or whatever a civilian airplane must comply with. During my military obligation in the 15th wing i was lucky enough to make a fl...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
You have to make the difference between the "canal route" aka CIV2D and the left turn normal routing for 4 engine aircraft. The canal route is a week-end ONLY route for aircraft going to exit belgian airspace via Chièvres. Its used by any type of aircraft. In the case of the left turn depa...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Its quite easy to mount a sale and lease back for new aircraft. Its a classic in aviation. But not only the choice, the timing and numbers can make a big difference. Bruair is not the only one in Lufthansa group where fresh aircraft would make sense. The backlog may be huge, but didn't grow in 2016....

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
Its exactly the same around every major airport. No citizen as more or less value than another. What is done in other countries is simply to reduce the number of impacted citizens. Spreading mean that you impact as much citizens possible, its not done like that anywhere. The problem in belgium is th...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
That canal route was proposed by the Federal Minister in charge some years ago (I don't remember which one) Wathelet junior. Very junior. No. The first one was Jos Chabbert and the route was called the "Chabbert route". Then Laurette Onkelinx modify it slightly and it was called the "...
