Re: Bombardier CSeries news
And finally some good news for the C-series: a LoI for 31 aircraft and 30 options from a European airline. I wonder who that will be. Along with its third quarter results, Bombardier announced that a European customer has signed a letter of intent (LOI) for up to 61 C Series, including 31 firm airc...

Re: 2017 Ostend-Bruges Airport (OST) latest news
OST-SEN would be less competition to ANR-LCY, which is a solid advantage. On a less rational scale, it would also recall good days long gone (Silver City, who remembers them? Even Sabena flew Bristol Freighters to ferry cars...) I think the last regular passenger connection by air was in 1979. Brit...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Antwerp-Southend as from June 2018, according to http://www.bqlive.co.uk/london-the-south/2017/10/18/news/belgian-boost-for-london-southend-28332/ As found on en.wikipedia But with only 4 rotations per week, what type or category of passengers are they aiming at? I wonder what has changed since 201...

This has been confirmed to Travel Magazine's office today. VLM Airl...

A VLM Fokker 50 took off from Antwerp Airport today around 5PM. Is it a sign or just another charter flight?

Re: As from winter season Eurowings will operate 2 rotations on TXL-BRU. Current SN2581/2588/2591/2592 rotations
Lufthansa stated very clear where SN will be positioned within the LH Group. LH is evaluating SN's product offer in relation to its production. LH sees the benefit of adding EW product/capacity to SN's production: 1) to lower the costs, 2) to better meet customer's demand and 3) optimising fleet uti...

Re: News from Eurowings 2016-2017
Germanwings to start new A319 service from Hanover to Gran Canaria/Las Palmas on 31 October and from Dusseldorf to Fez on 04 November 2017. Germanwings? I thought this brand was doomed and would disappear within months. Why then launch new routes under the Germanwings name, and not as Eurowings? No...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
What is the difference in ANR having commercial flights with a A320/B737 and Chios airport(LGHI)? They seem to have the same lenght of runway... I remember my flight more than 20 years ago, the captain said that he would have to brake very hard due to the short runway @chios. excactly, don't unders...

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures
At this growing pace, the 10 million passengers/year milestone lies within reach for 2019! The goal is to reach that figure already in 2018 ;) Indeed :) Of course the takeover of HQ activities will already bridge a significant part of the remaining gap. Add the 'organic market growth' and an increa...

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft's SSJ100 confirmed its ability to fly from short runways, after landing in Bromma, Sweden, even loaded with maximum landing weight and the B100 package option. A breakthrough for Brussels Airlines & Cityjet! What will happen to the Avro's on that route? Will they be operat...

Re: Emirates doubles its presence in Belgium
Somehow I think Brussels Airlines and airlines from the East aren't surprised by EK's announcement of its additional service to Brussels. Traffic figures have been very good from the start. Stakeholders in the Belgian travel trade are very well aware of that. Their immense fleet of A380's and 777's ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
But don't you think that one of the reasons they want to get rid of those Q400 are maybe to harmonise the regional wet lease fleet? So it would be strange if they replace the Q400 by CRJ900? If they go for the SSJ100 of cityjet, this would mean that there would be in total 5 SSJ100 leased from them...

Also impressive is the number of Brussels Airlines Airbusses parked at Pier A at night ☺️ And I wonder why some of them are not flying ... One could very well imagine them operating night rotations to the sunny destinations such as lpa/tnf/rak/pmi/mla/fao/fnc/rai/sal/lca/her etc ... Taking off befo...
