Re: BRU Winter 2020-2021: news, new routes, airlines
I'd more question the ME3-operations at BRU as they mainly rely on connecting passengers. Thai has recently added a 6th frequency. I'm pretty sure they knew it was only a matter of time when SQ would announce the BRU-resumption. Let's hope for a new connection to India and South Korea. The A350-900 ...

Re: Air Antwerp in 2019
More expensive? Yes and no Yes if you buy a long time before the flight. No if you book last minute fe. Next Monday and return on Tuesday. Let's take the afternoon flights: KLM 620 EUR (basic fare) and with Air Antwerp only 264 EUR (economy). I would expect them to sell seats on the same flight at ...

Re: Air Antwerp in 2019
I consider it as an attempt to create awareness about Air Antwerp. Who knows Manchester might become one of the next destinations for Air Antwerp, and thus allowing travellers to fly ANR-MAN-AMS or vice-versa. One thing that keeps remarkable though: KLM is selling Air Antwerp flights at a cheaper fa...

https://twitter.com/MihaLobnik/status/1177937196197789697 This is not English?!?! Well... a picture says a thousand words. It shows at least one A319 and one CRJ-900 have been re-registered. If this can happen so fast, I wonder how Adria Airways will stay afloat next week and beyond 02 October.

Re: Adria Airways suspends operations for the next two days
Adria has been given until 02 October to sort out their problems. Meanwhile its fleet seems to have been reduced to 10 aircraft: 6 CRJ-900 and 4 Saab 2000.

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2019
According to Flightradar24, OO-SNM performed a rather unusual flight from BRU to LJU as SN9905. Just a planned charter or maintenance flight or stand-by for a likely Adria Airways collapse?

Re: Thomas Cook ceases trading; UK CAA launches giant programme to fly its customers home
The Nordic branches of Thomas Cook seem to be saved, according to various media sources. This includes Ving (tour operator) and Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia.
Now let's hope Thomas Cook Belgium will make it as well!

Re: Air Antwerp, a new airline from Antwerp Deurne airport
Air Antwerp opened bookings via KLM. €70 one-way, €108 return flight. Very attractive fares and time schedule. It's even 109 euros for a same day return! I hope the Fokker 50 is just an interim-solution to facilitate a quick start-up process and lower the start-up costs. Let's hope for an ATR inste...

Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
Well, today Brussels Airport welcomed its first flight from Tallinn operated by AirBaltic using Airbus A220-300, excuse me Bombardier CSeries CS300, 3 flights per week. Nothing compared to the 9 flights per week of Nordica / LOT. Capacity-wise, airBaltic adds 870 seats a week (based on 145 seats pe...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
And how much SN has to pay for this ? Doesn't make sense to keep wet leasing planes instead of just getting more planes. Unless they want SN to fail, I suppose. It's not just high season, one of the CSA planes is all year.. How about SN needed capacity "right now" with CSA and Eurowings g...
