Re: New photo camera - your advice is welcome
I've got the 550D and I'm quite happy with it. Make sure you go to the shop and grab the camera before you buy as it's rather small and maybe not very suitable for someone with large hands. What lenses have you got/are you planning to buy ? If you plan to use one of the heavy Canon primes (300 mm et...

Re: emergency landing strips Belgium
2 hours ? Then why not divert to another airport, which is a much easier and safer option ? There are literally hundreds of airports that can be reached within these 2 hours. What would be the benefit of having such an emergency landing strip ?

I'd like to know that reason then. Probably so that travellers can find arrival/departure information much easier, but that is one silly reason.jan_olieslagers wrote:And by the way, their website is working as expected. It is in "minimal" mode, but that is a human decision, nothing to do with the servers.

DL140 from New York and SN2910 from Vienna are cancelled.
Bruairport website still not working 100%..., when will they finally upgrade their server ?
By the way, what runway configuration can we expect tomorrow ? Winds are expected to be 3 Bft SSW to SSE.

Not very impressive zoom-wise, but I like it anyway. Lufthansa A340 I think, heading west. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5004/5290513273_6b9bdf6e95_z.jpg The cloud on the left was created by this bird, that flew by approx. 1 minute earlier, also heading west. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5208/529...

Great pics! Really like the last one. What equipment do you use ? How's the condition of the other roads around BRU (Kortenbergsesteenweg, Ringlaan-Abelag, Namenstraat-soccerfields, 127bis road, ...) ? I might go spotting on monday, but when there's snow all over the roads, I might reconsider this. ...

The 744F is holding there now for about an hour and a half.
LGG is closed at the moment, but CRL is opened and I believe it's gonna land there.
Edit: wrong, BRU it is.
