Re: Trivia 2017 (miscellaneous news)

Jet Airways loses communications with ATC above Germany, intercepted by German Air Force I replay the flight on FR24. Here are my 2 cents. Prague ATC was most probably using 131.390 MHZ. Prague forgot to transfer them to Rhein (Germany). The pilots never realise contact was lost because of the chat...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

The so called "canal route" is just a pure political joke, only used during the week-end. The sooner we get rid of it the better.

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

The solution will be technical not political. Its the job off belgocontrol to bring us something that is really 2017. The problem is that our SID's where designed in the 1960's and today the text of the SID's clearly reflect this. The turns are defined by an altitude not by a position. 700 feet for ...

Re: Trivia 2017 (miscellaneous news)

The Swiss Air Force PC-7 team was involved in a very unusual incident. One off the PC-7 plane clipped a television camera cable suspended above the finish lines at the skiing world championships in St Moritz on Friday 17. Luckily it was between the 2 runs so no one was injured and the plane landed s...

Still no news about a first flight ? The 2 A319neo rolled out about 10 months ago. Unusual for Airbus.

Re: Airbus A350 XWB news

The 3 test aircrafts of the A350-1000 are flying. And sometimes more than one is in the air. If you look in the backlog for the next 300 aircrafts, there are very few. The first client is Quatar, so Airbus must be on time to deliver. The A320neo story is still very fresh. What i dont understand is w...

Re: No end in sight to Pratt's new engine issues ?

About the compressor bow, every jet engine as some.
But its a problem only on the Airbus aircraft, not on the Cseries or any other applications.
The difference between Airbus and the others is the way they attach the engine to the pylon.

But PW is late to deliver Airbus and Bombardier.

Lease-out is purely based on contractual dates. Wet leased is different.

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

The most ridiculous is the police car sitting before the bridge 24/7 with 2 guys on board. That police car is equipped to scan car plate, very nice idea. But if the car is not stolen, flagged as the car of a known djihadist or if you take a taxi like on 22/03, its useless. And if you are a little sm...
