Just to show you how cheap a flight to NYC can be with a regular airline incl. food and luggage, 192€ return from Brussels! https://www.fly4free.com/flight-deals/europe/hot-cheap-flights-from-brussels-to-new-york-for-only-e206/?utm_source=fly4free.com&utm_medium=pushapp&utm_campaign=push Di...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

As if the name Eurowings was better known than Brussels Airlines in Scandinavia, Madrid, USA and Asia  Not so long ago I was talking to an American friend about SN and the fact that it might become Eurowings. The first thing he said to me: Eurowings, wasn't that the airline with the suicidal p...

Flight AM2431 from Durango to Mexico City has accident during take-off, no fatalities

A short while ago an Embraer E-190 from Aeromexico had an accident during takeoff: An Aeromexico Connect Embraer ERJ-190, registration XA-GAL performing flight AM-2431 from Durango to Guadalajara (Mexico) with 97 passengers and 4 crew, rejected takeoff from Durango's runway 03 at about 15:15L (20:15...

Maybe they'll rebrand as Sabena
Although I doubt that LH sold the brand.

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

So what happens if you book premium class (which is available on their site)? Do they upgrade you to business or do they throw you in cattle and are happy about the extra money they managed to get from you? If they upgrade you to C iso throwing you into Y (which should be the case IMHO since they ar...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

The point for LH is to make profit, for them a high cost carrier with a Belgian identity that doesn't make a profit is of no use. What will you do: only fly Air Belgium from now on and spend all your holidays in Hong Kong? Use BA and travel via LHR, use AF and travel via CDG, use KL and trave...

Flag "discussion": interesting article with explanation

Some of us, me included  made some fuss about the wrongful display of the Belgian flag on Air Belgium's planes. While there is -unfortunately- no regulation in Belgium which prevents such errors, other countries may have such regulation, including the USA. On the website "thepointsguy&...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

What's interesting is that SN is back to loosing money after LH takes over the airline, yet before when LH was a minority owner they were in the black even in the year when they had significant losses due to the attacks. Since not much has changed it would be expected that SN continued to make profi...

OO-TMB has been build and is currently undergoing pre-flight preparations. And the next one is also on the final assembly line but since no registration is attached I'm not sure to where it will go: LN6929, MSN44592 Seems that the next one is also going to Belgium, the registration has been added t...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

Seatguru must be wrong: the width cannot possibly be 18" with 8 pax abreast! This site says the width is 17", too little for me: https://www.airline-update.com/seat-pitch-tui-airlines-netherlands-boeing-767-300er-economy-class/ There's more wrong: SN's Y seats are 18" wide, the stand...

Too much non sens criticism here by Bralo , passenger, shengenzone and so on. If the name was not "Air Belgium" but "Air Flanders", i'm quite sure those same persons would be quiet af. Stop complaining about everything, for godness sake there is a BELGIAN airline, everyone shoul...

Did SCW came to BRU? Haven't seen any mention of it?

The "weird" thing is that SCW has no homeport in FOD Mobilty's registration system while SCX does mention BRU as the homeport of this bird.
