Re: BRU infrastructure: future
I think RoMax is right. They'll rebuild the current departure hall, but they have the plan to modernise it (so more self check-in etc). It will be something between both, I guess.

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines
Probably yes for the long haul distance (certainly Africa), short haul maybe. We'll have to wait and see until the 27th...brusselsairlinesfan wrote:I do really hope that if LH decides to buy the remaining SN shares, they will at least keep the brussels airlines and the nice belgian identity of the company...

Re: Brussels Airlines future and financial perspective
After a quick look @ the departures/arrivals informations on BRU website, it seems that SN is currently operating at least 50% of the whole flights from/to BRU... Is that correct? Any info regarding brussels airlines current average loadfactor? Are they recovering fast? Brussels Airlines has the ri...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
We'll see then ofcourse and they still have the time. But don't forget that these Avro's are part of the fleet when Sabena existed, so that is a little bit longer than the 737's.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Hello all, Recently I contacted SN to ask for more details about the Avro's leaving the fleet. As already mentioned, DWF is out of the fleet already. In july DWG will follow, in august DWH will follow and in september DWI will follow. All the other Avro's will during 2017. Further, I asked whether s...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
I was just wondering, is there any news about the train station, reports last week stated that it could be open by now. But since last week, no updates anymore.... I think the train station itself is fixed and the trains drive by without stopping. So for example the train between Leuven and Mechele...

Re: 2016 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
For me, this action of the Greens doesn't show that much respect. You can complain that there are more planes than normal yes, but it was only temporary. They shouldn't also forget the reason. It isn't like that that they went voluntarily to Antwerp instead of Brussels Airport. And last but not leas...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines
@avroflyer_1 thanks for the answer. I think the best option is to wait until the 27th of april to know sure what LH is actually going to do. Hopefully they respect what SN stands for.

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines
I don't know, some sources said that SN would become the third low cost player on Brussels Airport to compete with Ryanair and Easyjet. But some other say Lufthansa keep things as they are for the moment. That is why I'm wondering what is most likely to happen.

Re: Brussels Airlines future and financial perspective
I heard an interview with Gustin saying they didn't really thinking about the losses now and they are going to continue with their plans (destinations, fleet, ...) like nothing happened. He did say that the figures would be bad, but that the figures from before 22/3 were important (to see whether th...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines
What a joke is that article :D Belgian people happy with it? No, not really. Certainly the crew of SN, they are really against it. Aviation lovers? Perhaps. I don't know what other people think about it (depends perhaps whether they like Lufthansa or not, ...) I'm certainly not happy with it, giving...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Does anyone know when the next three Avro's are leaving the fleet this year (and perhaps their registration numbers)? And is SN going to do something special for the last flight of the OO-DWF? I mean, they are quite a long time part of the fleet and deserve, despite the current circumstances, at lea...

Re: Planning of petition "retro livery"
Maybe Brussels Airlines could start an 'aviation heritage' project, just as American Airlines has done? Then it would make perfect sense to repaint an Airbus in a vintage sixties retro Sabena livery. American Airlines has a total of nine 'Heritage' planes: - AirCal - Allegheny - America West - Amer...

Re: Planning of petition "retro livery"
Having myself worked for Sabena I find it a great idea. The task would indeed be difficult as I think that the current management will oppose a fierce resistance. Therefore it will be necessary to find powerful allies : why not contact former Sabeniens in the first place? That is indeed a good idea...
