Re: Anyone been to this museum?

In general I also liked the museums, but I have to say that I regret that a lot of the planes are difficult to photograph, and that a lot of them do not wear the actual colours they wore in real life. Not to mention the noise from the organs inside... Apart from that: the collection is unique and th...

Re: Price of taxi from Barcelona Airport to the city

You can also take the bus. Very practical, fast, frequent, cheap (I believe 5€ per ride) and it drops you off in the centre.

Hard to believe the AOC is delivered. Are you allowed to state your source?

As far as I know the project is guided by a few ex Sabena pilots.

Re: Accident near Dunkerque.

When checking the website of the club http://www.westaviationclub.be/de%20vloot.html , I read that the plane was equipped with a chute.
Any idea if this was deployed?

Mr. contrailwatcherUK,
I'm not the type that usually comments on pictures, but that last one is absolutely gorgeous!
As if a set of giant tweezers are putting the A340 in place.

I guess the "DC-10" is a pun on the fact that it's 3-engined, Belgian because that's the country of manufacturing.

Re: Contrail spotting May 2010

Gentlemen (and women), yesterday evening (may 19th) I noticed a plane passing south of Louvain in a north-eastern direction leaving a single contrial. When looking with my binocoulars, it looked to me like the Diamond Jet, but I am aware that this is hardly possible. Unfortunatly the plane was out o...

How can it be that this aircraft landed and departed both from Brussels airport and Frankfurt while the company is on the European blacklist?

Not really: I believe the picture you talk about is from OO-TCN, old plane , new sticker.
So not the new plane yet...

In case you really found a picture of the new Tomas Cook plane, please feel free to share.

The A330 is still there, next to the pretty OE-IFG. No sign any more of the Kazakh.
The A330 seemed to be ready for at least one more night at its parking position.

Re: Irish businessman to circle globe in autogyro

As per usual, Belgium is at the spearhead of progress (NOT!) : autogyro's can't even be registered in Belgium. I don't know if you tried to do this recently, but I believe that there is some movement ongoing into the good direction concerning this. Anyway, I believe that based on European regulatio...

Re: Movement of the year at BRU?

Amazing that no mention of this, yet we get to know about Delta 767's and the like. Wierd creatures are spotters! c Sad but true. I guess most spotters moved over to other forums... Anyway, since I still consider myself as a spotter, anyone a clue on the departure of this bird? Thanks in advance!

Title of this thread reads "Ryanair comes back to Ostend !", the article in "De Tijd" says it MIGHT come back. I believe that until now we didn't get any kind of confirmation yet, even though everybody seems to be sure of it. Can anybody indicate a source stating that it will act...

Re: OO-CBB, where is going to?

I believe a new owner showed up. Don't know who or what. But it seems strange to me that it would already be allowed to go. Since it was parked for quite a while it needs some technical checks before it is allowed to go I think. Date on the website shows 01-02, and it shows as "parti" alre...

Re: Why doens't the Flemish government aid Brussels Airport?

Brussles Airport is a federal matter, the others are regional. So it's not up to the Flemish governement to invest, but to the federal. If Flanders would invest on its own, the result would be people saying "Why just Flemish money?" Flanders should invest in Antwerp or Ostend... Yet an oth...

The picture I found is of OO-DJH in Bacau Romania Not sure, but I believe plane is expected to come back to Belgium after maintenance and get the new registration, before leaving for good. I believe it's heading for the Kyrgyz Republic. Can somebody confirm? If it is correct, I wonder if it will al...
