Re: Insurance against cancelled flights possible? (non-EU airline)

It's indeed a private insurance I'm looking for. I have an annual travel insurance, just like some of the people blocked at JFK... But they were told by their insurance that a cancellation due to exceptional circumstances is not included...only when it's considered a natural disaster...and a snowsto...

Re: Insurance against cancelled flights possible? (non-EU airline)

Some have a similar offer e.g. Touring...but if you read the small letters... snow, storm, tornado's, fog etc (which create a cancelled flight) are not considered a natural or catastrophic disaster...so an ashcloud would be covered or considered a closed airspace event but the snowstorm in JFK this w...

Insurance against cancelled flights possible? (non-EU airline)

Hello, I have a question for the experienced travelers: I was wondering if it’s possible to insure or protect yourself for the costs as a result from a cancelled flight. I tend to think I’m a prepared traveler and have a year-round travel insurance and cancellation insurance for my non-work related ...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018

Ok, thanks guys! Was just wondering because according to the article on Wikipedia (Dutch) a B767 would leave the fleet in 2018 but one can find no info or article with a mentioning of a B767 staying (nor leaving) their fleet. But even then it is still confusing to me and the numbers don’t seem to ad...

Air Info/L'Aérien says in an article about JAF, the 2nd 787 will arrive but they will let OO-JNL in Belgium, and won't move. Strange !
Do you have link to the article? I can't find it. Thanks

Or is it just a new layer of paint?
Thx

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2017

The problem with that plane is not the pitch, but the 8 seats across (2-4-2) when ALL the other 767s have only 7 seats across (2-3-2). You will feel terribly cramped. I think sn26567 might be mistaken with SN 's Premium Economy ( 'Economy Privilege' ) on A330 ( seatmap ), which is indeed 8 seats ac...

Re: EXIT signs on aircraft

Thanks feniks, You provided a good starting point to investigate. According to the docs I found on EASA's website my understanding is that both (EXIT vs. symbolic sign) are accepted by EASA, as long as it is consistently used and fulfills all sorts of other requirements, etc. So until now I would sa...

Are there any kind of regulations on the type of EXIT signs that have to be used on (new) aircraft? It is considered one of the most important items as passengers are briefed on this before every flight. Idem dito.
Comes in very handy sometimes. Informs you which luggage belt to go to before you left your plane, check-in row, gate changes,...
Miss the special promos from airport shops and restaurants that were displayed in the past.
