Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

.. Small correction: I was wrong about BRU being more expensive than CDG. This graph shows the costs per passenger. Thus BRU isn't that expensive but not exactly cheap either as the article suggests. It's notable that BRU differentiates very little based on O&D or transfer traffic, and the latt...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

According with flightlevel, United's flight BRU-ORD will be operate by a 787-10 from april 2020. Opening BRU-SFO by United is next step ? Brussels will be a UA "european mini-hub" for 787 ? For UA, BRU is a real hub, not a mini-hub as something like this is not existing. By next year an o...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Curious (good) itw in the French newspapers les échos about the future of Brussels airport between CDG and AMS https://www.lesechos.fr/industrie-services/tourisme-transport/laeroport-de-bruxelles-une-epine-dans-le-pied-dair-france-klm-1158566 A positive article for once. They need to hurry to attra...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

OO-SFU operating SN371 to DLA diverted to Kano. Landing there at 16:50Z, first take off attempt 4 hours later followed by a return to the apron. Another hour later she took off for Douala. 4 hours grounded + another 1h after a dry run on the runway may point towards a technical issue rather than me...

Re: BRU Winter 2020-2021: news, new routes, airlines

Hopefully the return of SQ to Brussels does not hurt TG too much. As I travel alot between Vietnam and Belgium, the return of SQ is a nice alternative to Thai and Cathay but I am not sure if three airlines serving the same area (TG, CX and SQ) is sustainable in the long run. I wouldn’t be scared of...

The picture provided with the tails is a nice gesture imho... A very nice gesture to Drussels Airlines! On main parts of the website SN is still totally ignored www.lufthansagroup.com/en/company/business-segments.html The CEO leaving at a crucial time isn't a good sign. A captain shouldn't le...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

No more Moscow flights for SN? Has this been announced? Was announced on this forum 3 weeks ago: They will also stop operating Moscow flights from 18.11 till 20.12 and from 11.01 till 24.02. According to one of SVO employees their flights are usually loaded with 80-90 passengers. After moving to SV...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

HV at BRU makes a lot of sense with Thomas Cook bankrupt and SN rebooting. HV already has many Belgian customers at EIN and already works with TUI which will probably grow without Thomas Cook. *competes* with TUI, you mean? :| No, I meant exactly what I wrote. Many people that book a holiday with T...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Knack has it right: Despite its shamefully high unemployment rates, the Brussels Region prefers (night) rest for its population over an expanding Zaventem. Charleroi cannot follow intercontinental for the time being. Few transfer passengers opt for an airport that does not offer European connections...

Not sure what CF is doing with her airline, at one side she stopped the integration but at the other side she copies the short haul product of EW.. Some simple menu comparisons... Boavida wrote: 07 Nov 2019, 11:45Why don't they just sell SN, for god sake? SN clearly is the unwanted child of the group, struggling on its own. Time to look for a better family/group.
One reason could be that while SN doesn’t make a lot of money they aren’t very expensive either and it helps keeping competition away.

Re: Air Belgium in 2019

How the passengers will be indemnified for the missing part of their trip is not our problem, only an issue for insurance companies. Admittedly, it would be interesting to know the end of the story, but the details are irrelevant. What a pointless thing to say on an Internet forum. 90% of the issue...

If they don't get compensated and don't have a very good insurance coverage the answer is yes. If you disagree, please elaborate instead of your nonsensical foul language.

FR24 shows they have dropped Easter Island from the journey, and flew from Lima streight to Tahiti (PPT Papeete). Probably staying just one night instead of four there, because their program continues to Cairns (Australia) on the 4th Nov. The consequences of that ground incident at Lima are huge. T...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Less flights are even better, more pax per bigger plane is much more convenient for the whole environment. Less flights are also much better for the fact that the airport has a lot of margin to grow. The plafond is not reached yet. And this makes us more attractive then our neighbour airports. So w...
