Caused by a DECREASE of capacity. SN might be the only European carrier decreasing capacity the past year with oil-prices plummeting. Pretty weird imoStij wrote:A very impressive improvement of the load factor!

Re: Dead stowaway on MD-11 Entebbe-Liège-Münich?
No more dead bodies please! I only disagree with leaving stuff to professionals and their internal procedures and training, because it's good when aviation enthusiasts are aware.

Re: Dead stowaway on MD-11 Entebbe-Liège-Münich?
Its not up to a public forum to raise awareness on this issue. Internal company procedures and training should suffice (and that's the only place these pictures should be shown) It didn't suffice, as shown by the plane departing from Liege without any of the 'professionals' with their internal comp...

Lower than AIR KORYO ???????????? Cannot believe.... You don't have to believe it: it's not true. Brussels Airlines is a three star airline, Air Koryo is a one star airline. That's the rating by Skytrax. The rating of SN by customers is 5/10 http://www.airlinequality.com/airline-reviews/brussels-ai...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Again, this is not an issue related to the age of the aircraft, but to the choice of the customer. If you check the reviews of SN at airlinequality.com you'll see that customers are complaining about 'old and worn' aircraft. Maybe that's the reason of SN's horrible rating, it's below Iberia, Air Fr...

Re: Brussels Airlines a Flemish company?
I work in Flanders for 6 years now, never speaking dutch. Everything in english as if I were just another european citizen. And it works fine. The market is global. We work with EMEA people every minute. Why bother with a local language ? That's just ignorent and rude towards locals. If you work so...

Even worse, the third hub is ZRH. Even worse, the fourth hub is VIE :( Nope! BRU is bigger than VIE (at least in number of pax in 2015) :) OS carries much more passengers than SN and VIE has much more transfer passengers than BRU. So I would call VIE a bigger hub for Lufthansa group than BRU, while...

I'm sorry to hear about your horrific experience, SN contact options suck indeed. One can only hope that it will become EW soon, and service will be on par with the current EW.

KLM have cancelled or postponed Tehran resumption in May. KLM and Eurowings cancelling Tehran, that's strange considering the potential all the economists and media are talking about... and I can tell you Iran has a huge touristic potential, wonderful sights and people! You can't really say it's ca...

Re: Interview of CEO Gustin: Brussels Airlines renamed Eurowings? ...and other topics
See what they did in Vienna. I don't know what our Austrian friends are thinking letting LH do whatever they please. It's pretty simple: small legacy/network carriers are hardly viable standalone. You pretend like Austrian/Brussels had a choice, while it was pretty much a choice between going bankr...

On top of that, the LH/SN deal was negiocated by some top industrial leaders and top bankers , and I'm pretty sure SN's lawyers have foreseen all possibilities that are brought up here. Belgian top bankers from Dexia or Fortis? We all know about their qualities and whether or not the have foreseen ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Reality is that the fleet of Belgium's national carrier halved, while air traffic doubled. Thus SN has about 25% of the importance it had before. You can thank Sabena management and the staff mentality for that

BRU could become the most efficient and convenient airport in this part of Europe, with a better organization for transfer, passport control etc. FAR, CDG, LHR are nightmares.. You conveniently leave out AMS, that's hard to beat when it comes to transfer convenience, especially since they introduce...

S has a special historical political situation (neutrality, hence a lot of international institutions...) that has been a favorable factor for the development of its international connections and of its "official" airline. No valid comparison with SN is possible. The same can be said abou...

Not one word about Brussels (and its four routes) being abandoned. That's just plain false. http://www.jetairways.com/EN/US/FAQs.aspx?Subject=Flight+Operations+to+Amsterdam Actually it's SN that 'don't give a shit about their customers' as you would say it. The stories are a bit conflicting, but it seems they did wait and Abdeslam might have gotten away meanwhile stuffed in furniture that was being moved. You're misleading towards the other side. Of course checks need to be in place. But as I'm understanding the current Belgium rule you can't make an arrest at night inside a house under any circumstances, that is unheard of. Main source for the story is Belgium's own federal prosecutor. Washington Po...

Twisted info indeed. But the reality doesn't need to be twisted to be baffling. This is an absurd and outrageous rule. I can understand the reactions of people from outside Belgium when hearing a rule like this exists. If it's gonna be adapted for terrorism suspects, good! But shouldn't you be able ...
