Re: 2022 Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL/EBCI) latest news

When airport taxes are only €6 per passenger compared to €28 at Brussels Airport, they have to find other sources of revenue. BRU can easily toilet cleaning in its airport taxes, CRL just cannot with their meagre taxes. And Ryanair might certainly take that as an example for introducing a similar c...

Re: Air Belgium in 2022

The only downturn of ET flights is the transit through ADD, a disorganised nightmare of an airport... ET itself is quite a nice airline with good products. My two cents... a bit of topic. I flew ET to CPT round trip last week... ET has extremely competitive prices if... you book well in advance... ...

New temporary hangar at Brussels?

A pretty reliable source for construction projects in Flanders is the "Omgevingsloket". https://omgevingsloketpubliek.omgeving.vlaanderen.be/?openbaaronderzoek Could be mentionned here already... I found there Sabena Aerospace would like to construct a temporary hangar... big enough for a ...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

The construction works at the terminal will start very soon. The "Diamant" will disappear and will be the prolonging of the current terminal till the former Building 2 of DHL which was previously demolished. This will be a big expansion of the terminal. As said, the construction works wil...

Probably even more important than slots at certain destinations in Africa: traffic rights.

Re: Air Belgium in 2022

Besides, best publicity is cheap flights! They offered dirt cheap flights to South Africa in both economy and business. Most people search and compare fares. When an airline suddenly pops up offering cheaper flights than the competition, people notice. I think that This is the best way to attract a...

Miles and More

Hi,

I try to claim miles for my children and when I try to fill in the form online... one cannot select Brussels as an origin nor destination.

Has anybody else had the same experience?

Re: Air Belgium in 2021

Maybe another destination from BRU that could be profitable for Air Belgium is Cape Town. Especially during the winter months there's a lot of Belgians, (especially from the North) flying form BRU to CPT via AMS, FRA, LHR, IST, DXB, DOH and ADD.

Re: Air Belgium in 2021

What make you say that CRL is a "extremely low-cost" airport? Yes the cost structure is lower tjan BRU as it's a regional airport like LIL, OST, EIN, or LGG. But from the service it's providing, what make of it a, as you call "extremely low-cost airport" you have everything you ...

Onboard catering with KLM is going to change: no longer "chicken, beef or pasta?", but "pasta, pesto or quinoa?" Reason: KLM says veggie is more sunstainable then meat. https://www.telegraaf.nl/financieel/1132368295/klm-vergroent-vlees-verdwijnt-van-vliegtuigmenu And cheaper...
